Dunno, but a teacher having sex with multiple students and then getting a suspended sentence and a good behaviour bond is something that I can't see happening were the genders to be reversed. If this were a mid-twenties male teacher raping teenage girls, he'd be going away for a long time.

Mr Atiyah is 90! The presentation was yesterday, so it will be interesting to know whether the mathematics community accepts the proof as valid. I believe the hypothesis is true, but a proof for it will mean that several [hundred/thousand] hypotheses that depend on the RH being true will ALSO be proved at the same time.

The guy was butthurt about a woman getting a job over him so he threw together some very shaky research to back up some outdated theories about women. There's genuine femmnazi stuff out there but this isn't that.

Ab posted a link (last week?) about a guy who pointed out that males appear more in the lower & higher spectrum of a lot of characteristics and was planning on looking at an evolutionary reason for this but wrongly got shut down.

This guys takes this observation about IQ clusters and asserts that this is why women are very outnumbered in physics, ie it's an inevitable outcome of biology. This is unscientific and potentially harmful. It ignores things like whether an IQ measurement is a useful tool in evaluating if someone is good at physics and also the degree to which societal structures/institutions/culture and peoples life experience plays a role in outcomes. ie, The "leaky pipeline"
