Pretty nuts alright. They probably should've gone for tasers first, but given they had guns in their hands and the perp made a lunge at the officer who'd just holstered his weapon, it was the right move by the other cop to shoot him. Not sure that 5 shots was necessary but I guess adrenalin will do that. Probably the other fella didn't need to get his 5 shots in though.

did you miss the bit where they tasered him right in the face and he just shrugged it off?
