How good was Tour of Duty back in the day. Currently working through season 1 again for old times sake and while sure, there's some serious corn spread throughout, the characters are still pretty cool and it's a good enough watch.
Had to chuckle at poor old Horn though. Out of all the chars like the Lt., Sarge, Percell, Johnson, Taylor, Ruiz etc.. I'd totally forgotten about him. That said he is the worst actor by far! Close second is Baker. Sgt. 'Zeke' Anderson, is still the man |

yeah, pretty fond memories of Tour of Duty eh, looking back I'm surprised my parents let me watch it.
I keep thinking about watching it again but might leave it preserved as a fond memory. MacGyver is one that I did go back and start watching, a few episodes in and I wish I hadn't. There is one Tour of Duty episode I might track down, all I can remember is they get ambushed at thier base, things get pretty desperate with running low on ammo etc, but then Zeke saves the day by rigging some DIY explosives etc. Not sure how accurate that is, 20 year old memory is prob way off. |

One of the Eps I watched tonight Ep 14, Under Seige. Had an asshole Capt. Larry come in (after their first Capt. Wallace got shot previously), trying to push more aggressive tactics as the NVA was coming through the valley and overunning the firebase. Zeke rigged up some 60mm shells they couldn't use in their tubes. Decent ep.
It definitely holds up better than Macgyver etc imo. But fond memories are usually are better |

Cheers dude, I'll track that one down. The episodes on torrents etc, they DVD rip or broadcast rips? Obviously want the original soundtrack... |

Did anyone notice how Madagascar doesn't get infected in the spread projections in episode S02E13 of Fringe? Freakin' hilarious.
Although what the heck was up with S02E11? Freakin' using episodes from last season? Lame.

I just watched Breaking Bad S3E10-11 back to back...
Fuck me! Ep10 was just two guys in a room talking, but it's the definition of edge of your seat TV. And ep11... just... what a fucking awesome ending! Wow.

Holy fuck, S01E08 of SGU is BAD-freaking-ASS!
It was actually good scifi, which I can't remember seeing the likes of in a television series.

So what do you think of this mini series... Persons Unknown?

I am looking forward to it.
The trailer suggests the story is quite similar to a Christopher Pike book (lol). I hope that it is intended as a finite series, rather than your typical American go-until-we're-canceled show, as the premise doesn't seem like it would hold up well to having no ending in sight.

Wow, there is nothing on at the moment. Absolutely nothing.
SG:U is finished. Smallville is finished. Spartacus is finished. Fringe is finished. Heroes is finished, permanently, which some people are very happy about. V is finished. Dexter doesn't start till the end of September. What am I supposed to watch until September? |

Just finished watching a Britsh three part mini-series named Occupation. It was quite entertaining. Community has gotten far better than the pilot would have suggested.
