I've smashed through 4 seasons of Friday Night Lights in the last few months, onto the 5th and final season.. such a good show.

From E1 The Newsroom looks good.

Still watching Continuum after 5 episodes. It's a bit meh, but the premise is interesting and there's not much sci-fi on these days.

Episodes is always a crack-up and into S2.

Futurama is back.

But I'm not convinced about the Governor arc. It might be toned down a bit from the comic. Unless they do a second assault or something rather than using the helicopter as the link.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that will be toned down a lot. I guess there's just not enough episodes to get everything in. I'm guessing the first 8 episodes with be the governor arc, and the second 8 will be something else. Or all 16 will be, and there will be a lot of boring episodes.

I've started watching The Shield again. I only saw S1 and 2 when it was on TV but did enjoy it.
Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it before and like cop dramas.
Its not as good as The Wire (came out the same year as well), but its well worth the watch IMO.

Can anyone comment on Breakout Kings? a couple of peeps at work seem to think its ok.

I found The Shield really hard to watch since half the police characters are cop killers, whose plight we are supposed to care about, and the other half are kind of idiots. It didn't help that i'd watched The Wire almost directly prior to it.

pretty standard fare, entertaining enough but of course warrants a major suspension of disbelief as it's fairly retarded / unrealistic.
