The herald was a tabloid long before they changed to that print format. If National were to halve the income tax paid by everyone and deliver twice as much the herald would lead with a headline like "tax take plummets under national".

I watched the Wolfenstein Old Blood trailer just now, and it looks pretty cool. But it doesn't look HUGELY different from RTCW.
Think about the leap in graphics and gameplay from Wolfenstein 3D to RTCW. What's that - seven years? It's sixteen years since RTCW came out. In conclusion, back in my day, get off my lawn. |

Doesn't matter; it's the memory that counts and it's best to not look back to validate.
I had memories of how great the sound and graphics were on my C64; when I went back and checked I was left with a decidedly "what was I thinking". The same was true for my Amiga 2000. I've had a similar experience with girls I thought were pretty in high school. Again, when looking at old photos I'm left concluding that this was only pretty relative to the population I was then aware of. One who I stalked (well, I visited her linked-in page once) would once I rated a ten became a four once I'd seen more of the diversity of the world. Let sleeping dogs lie. Al Jazeera has some grim in-depth coverage of Syria at the moment. I usually can handle, but it gets a bit much.

Oh don't get me wrong, corporatized Spark is absolutely that way. Every second week is a restructure. Thankfully, I'm talking IT franchise Spark Digital, which in my view, is a much more preferable place to be.

I have to say though that in my dealings with spark digital -- specifically what was managed data and geni I was always well looked after. The service was maintained proactively, the issues were always followed up on and they didn't need telling twice. They were locals so no issues struggling to understand international accents and no annoying voice delay on the phone. You could briefly tell them an issue and no elaboration was required.
Ps, reading between the lines of the above should tell you a lot about other providers, especially "hahaha yeah sure we'll call you back lol" vodafone.

Wish paywave became more widespread.
I consider the parking meters here in palmy antiquated for requiring the insertion of a CC. imagine my horror when I see towns that still have coin only machines.

You have debit and credit on the same card? Dumbshit waitstaff? None of this seems to be the fault of Pay Wave. You just can't handle its radness.

Also Paywave is a play by the CC networks to kill off eftpos. Put a PIN in, pay a few cents. (If you live in the 1950s and don't have a flat fee for all electronic transactions.) Pay by paywave and that shit goes via the CC network and the merchant pays 2-5%.
End game: every one uses paywave, eftpos is dead, prices go up.

As I've posted before I have disabled paywave on my card by cutting through the antenna loops. They're easy to locate - just hold the card up to a bright light and then plan your cut. My card has four loops but a snip in a sensibly chosen spot gets them all with a tiny cut.

I've not seen an NZ TV advertisement for years. I did watch some TV adds whilst in Texas last week for want of something else to do; they were moderately interesting.
