Does it clear up the desktop after logging out or some such?
Did you install the program or were you running it from a disk image? (dmg file)

I ran the dmg file and it seemed to install and dump a folder onto the desktop which allowed me to run Rremote Desktop. After a reboot the remote desktop folder has gone but the dmg remains..

Thanks - I'll give Adium a whirl, Fire looks quite cool too.

Re-mount the disk image and it should be there I think.

OS X ejects images on reboot IIRC

Disk iMaGe. Think of it as an ISO. You're mounting it, not running it. When you rebooted, the volume was unmounted.

yes, white macbooks discolour quite quickly
same problem with the new imac keyboards
the plastic seems to be to absorbent
various forums complain about this issue

i have ibook g4's which are coming up to 2yo
looking less grubby than macbooks which are less than 6mo

unless your palm rest covers the complete area I would think you'd end up
with a pristine white square surrounded with a manky grey/brown
surrounding.

hmm I guess if you were the creative type you could create a logo or message, cut it out of a clear palm rest and stick it on your macbook. watch it appear as your macbook rapidly turns a manky shade of brown. peel the palm guard off ....hours of fun as long as you don't accidentally slit your wrists on the suicide top.

Sister just got a 2.0GHz MacBook, first time in about 10 years that I've used an Apple OS

The user interface seems so.. clean.

She also bought a Mighty Mouse, which I found to be quite annoying (although coming from a Logitech G7). Google says I might have to alter some system settings to further increase it's sensitivity :/ Is this safe? Don't want to fuck up her new laptop :P

might be, just got a new white bluetooth wireless KB and the keys are back to the older type of plastic looks more glossy, less of a mat finish the imac/macbook keyboards have got. more like the old emac keyboards. looks far more resistant to staining. just got new macbook black a core duo 2 so it's kinda hard to tell

The top keyboard surround part, which sits over the keys and palm rests is starting to lift. Gonna take it back and get replaced under warranty. This shits just not on.
