Nah gave up. I don't have time to give a show an entire season before it starts getting good. Watched to the finale of S1, was mildly entertained, deleted the rest.

I follow a rule of 'new shows get 3 episodes'. Sometimes the first ep wasn't great because it was very different to what I was expecting, or they spend all the time on establishing the world and people, but by episode 3 if they haven't caught my interest I doubt they will.

well if you arnt willing to listen to several people on this forum that say breaking bad is probably the best show on TV, thats your loss.

i dont even remember s1 being that bad, i enjoyed it and it just got better and better as it progressed.

Watched Defiance. Sort of Falling Skies/Terra Nova/Caprica I suppose. The Bear McCreary music was certainly there.

But enjoyable from my point of view.

Tried In The Flesh. Now, I'm only one ep in so I've got 2 to go before writing it off, but... and it actually causes me a reasonable deal of personal distress to admit this... but I might, actually, finally, inevitably?... be getting sick of zombies. The show just didn't grab me much. Even with a premise I haven't seen before, it just felt kind of boring.

Also started watching Utopia. That is more fun. Wee conspiracy and guns and eye balls and comic books and trucks. I'm actually excited to keep watching this one.

Is anyone *playing* Defiance, along with watching it?

Yeah, there's a few tie ins - if you did the prequel missions you met Nolan and Irissa and see where they got the shiny stick they had at the start of the episode. Then in the show there was one throwaway line about video chatting with a NPC from the game, and another about '99ers, who are an enemy type in the game.

The interesting is those prequel missions are now gone, so they remove content as the show makes it obsolete; but there won't be too many examples of that, as they are set in different areas (San Francisco vs St Louis).
