I remember creaming me pants when I got 30fps with me voodoo1 in Q2. Installed Q2 at a lan a couple weeks ago did a quick time demo spits out over 500fps with the Ti 4200

I remember when my friend bought his Geforce 256... he installed it in his PII-450, then booted up Quake2 (aka 'the orange game'). I remember us just sitting there with our mouths hanging open when it finally spat out the end result: 75fps at 1600x1200
Reminds me of when I first got my Voodoo back in '97 or '98... GLQuake - 40fps at 640x480 on the venerable ol' P166!!! And best of all, the textures didn't go all pixelly when you walked up to the walls |
