NZ v SA

So, given these threads are normally boring as shit, and we can all assume the AB's are gonna win.

I'll make a $5 bet with someone if they take SA and I'll give them 15 points.

Really don't see the All Blacks losing. Just hope there's no serious injuries from this game

NZ needs to be humiliated in at least 1 tri nations game. They need to be humbled.

Annoyingly, I agree.

If we don't get humbled early on we tend to take a too "She'll be right" arrogance into the game and end up fucking up.

oops I thought the Jerseys with the red were the test ones, the white collar ones not as bad but still feminine looking imo.

Nonu is the weakest link

Not surprised by the outcome. Next week's game at Eden Park is what I'll really be looking forward to.

Most of you are not old enough to remember the Steinlager jersey...the new one is a throwback to that!

Great performance by the ABs. Try scorers should learn to run towards the posts when they get over the line before dotting down. Things like that can cost dearly in close games.

But a bad one at that... would have been better if they had done a V neck with a complete white stripe rather some "sort of" white collar approach.

Pretty sure the white collar went out when adidas got the contract in 1999. You must think we have a lot of 12-and-unders here?

Anyone notice Thorn not playing?

Calling it, he won't be selected for the world cup.

After explaining the significance of the Steinlager jumper of the 87 cup to my aussie missus I started feeling quite old..Ab has to wear his around during the RWC matches!

Surprised that Colin Slade is the only 1st five eight. Maybe Piri Weepu is intended as back up but I thought it might have been worthwhile taking Cruden along.

Yeah I didn't think Andy Pandy was gonna see the light of day, I guess they let him have a go despite his chronic fruju addiction

Not bothered by the result...we clearly were testing out the boks tonight to see what they had....fuck all apparently..Steyn wasnt tackled once...even Quade Cooper runs the ball at defenses occasionally.

ABs ratings:
-Toeava 8+ good speed, good work rate
-Thompson 4+ he is the penalty machine!!!
-Dagg - 8+ Excitement machine
-Afoa 6+ good work rate..good alt to the franks
-Slade 6+ didnt impose himself on the game
-Kahui 8+ Awesome first game back!
-Ali Williams 4-5 Still trying WAY too hard
-SBW 8+ great offloads, great workrate, and fucking solid on d! -5 for having Mundine and Khodar Nasshar in his corner

This game makes me think what the heck can we do with DC and Richie, Thorm etc in the team with some of the backline guys from the 'B' blacks

slade definitely put his hand up to be excluded from the world cup. Too many forward passes, poor choices.

Once again it is demonstrated that without Carter and McCaw, the ABs are a good team.

There are lots of good teams.

Didn't get to watch the game, were the ABs discipline a little off last night? The boks won by penalties alone.

I think all but 1 of the penalties was caused by Adam Thompson.

But you also have to remember that it was in SA at high altitude, so the first 2 (at least) were from the 50m mark.
If that same game was played here, it would have been totally different.

one of his first - coming unbound at scrum - was blatant not only did he cause the scrum to de-power, but he was penalised ... grrr!

Not really a fan, but had to admit Kahui had a good game. Wish there had been more spark from the guys around him (there just didn't seem to have the same flair as Carter-Smith-Nonu)

disagree to a certain extent - those BS behind-the-back flick passes are pants - can do without them kthxbye.
