Yeah watched all of them so far, it started off well but it just hasn't gone anywhere since the first couple of eps really. If it doesnt pick up the pace i'll be giving it a miss shortly which sucks cause it has potential.

It is never going to. Once the mystery of what Beta is gets unravelled the show doesn't really have a lot else going for it.

I watched the pilot just now... I think I wish I hadn't.
It's Grey's Anatomy on a space ship, my wife called it in the first 5 minutes.
I like Ron Livingston but this show just seems so flimsy and thin.
Right from the first ep it looks like it's going to dissolve into 'He slept with her now she sleeps with him but last week he was kissing her down by the storage cubes but LOOK OUT, here comes the mystery box to bend your mind, WHAT'S IN IT?!?!'

I'm with Bandalor on this one - sat through 15mins of it before my wife called it as boring; would have preferred more Virtuality to this.

So Defying Gravity sucked balls, what else is new on the Sci-Fi calendar?

Any decent new comedies?

Need a new tv show to watch, might start cranking True Blood

Firefly is well worth it, i knew i'd regret watching it because it's gonna suck when I finish all the episodes.

Due to the current lack of stuff to watch i found myself looking through my series dir aimlessly for something to watch when i came across my "Generation kill" folder. For some bizzare and inexplicable reason i never got around to watching this until now... Fantastic, loved it. Haing Eric from true blood in it was quite cool aswell.

Anyways if anybody is like me and for some reson hasn't seen Generation killl yet and is bored with the lack of shit out atm grab this for sure!

A++ would watch again!

I watched it on recommendation from this thread and found it watchable but severely lacking.
Was way too 'Jarhead' for my taste.
Way way too much time focusing on marines crying about how shit war is and not much insight into how the war actually unfolded.
For people who haven't seen it and want to know what it is: It's like they have taken the personal journal of a bunch of marines and mashed them together.
No plot, no overview of operations, no beginning middle and end.

If you have read a few books on the war you will already know that for the guys on the ground it was anti climactic and all over in a flash, a few days, a week, maybe two weeks at most for a lot of the troops. (Talking about the invasion/takedown of Saddam's regime here, not the rebuilding/occupation post war)
This show tries to convey this and succeeds but it's not very interesting to watch.
If you want to know what the initial war was really like then read a good book like Thunder Run for example. Much more entertaining and factual (much much less personal) but if you like to listen to the personal bitching of marines ('Jarhead (2005)') then you will love Generation Kill.

Watch Sealab 2021, from the first season. Nothing wrong with revisiting a classic.

In this vein, Frisky Dingo and Metalocalypse are both highly deserving of your time.

Anyone watch SE1 of 'Sons of Anarchy' yet?

I think I might give it a go...got Katey Sagal in it and Ron Pearlman. Seems to be pretty popular.

I rate Sons of Anarchy, season one ended up pretty nice.

It's not quite as polished as an HBO or Showtime show but it's better than most of the garbage on the networks.

Definitely worth the watch in these times.

If you liked Twilight you'll like this. Looks quite promising.

oh, i just stumbled across this at TV.com

Vampire Diaries sets record

Vampire hoopla carries over to The CW as its new darling becomes network's most-watched series premiere ever.

True, they even go on to say that it's a TV version of Twilight.
