So I looked up Galbraith Ave, Avonside on Google Maps due to all the coverage of the Mallory Manning case. That's a pretty grim looking neighbourhood...

Edit - although I'm guessing back in 2008 it would have been quite different with actual residents.

I'm not familiar with that particular Avenue, but there were some very nice mid-century villa type places with river views around there which always had well kept gardens and painted picket fences. Until 3 years ago. Now it is a wasteland.

The Mob place looked like a big section, almost industrial, and somewhat out of place. Unless I am way off - around the back of Wilding Park?

i had a discussion with a mate in the fruit n veg industry like 10 years ago about the lack of quality with supermarket veges and he said it was because of the supermarket's heavy hands: the supermarkets get what they demand and the farmers effectively have no say in the product they produce.

I've noticed that Albany New World is often significantly more expensive compared to Farro Fresh on Constellation for somewhat similar products. For example, New World charges a good $15 to $20 more per kilo for whole eye fillet; the Faro product is superior quality but I think I'm being fair making the comparison all the same. If you want tomatoes that can be eaten the same week as purchase (so properly ripe ones) then Farro wins again and similarly their tomatoes are never as expensive as they are at New World.

I find their produce and meat to be about the same as anywhere else though.

I wish we had more clarity so called "fresh" produce TBH. It seems like fresh means "not frozen or bottled" but does not exclude other less obvious preservation methods.
