There's an airport bus that goes to the central city bus exchange (disclaimer: I haven't used it since before the quakes, so not sure if it still goes there or somewhere else now), not sure that its still going at midnight though. Would probably pay to check its timetable.

The Bus Exchange is now an empty lot with lanes rather than the multi-storey hub it previously was... but might still be a drop off point.

But seriously, the Super Shuttles wait for Intl flights and would probably charge $15 for a CBD drop off to your hotel/hostel(as if). I'll check with Pete at the pub tonight.

Inorganic rubbish collections lol me good. I put out an old 21" CRT and an iron. I'm walk back to the front door and there is already a dude (a white dude even) pulling up to grab the tv. By the time I get upstairs to spy out the window, a dude is walking off with the iron. Shit ain't had time to gather leaves! I fucking love natures scavengers, taking away my technological carrion. Similar experience - I put some stuff out about 9pm yesterday and it was gone in ten minutes; not bad for a rural road with no street lights / footpaths.

Doing my nightly trawl through eqctruths wordpress blog and find someone who is recording there EQC/EQR interactions and posting them online. Anonymously.

Except in listening, I think I recognise her voice.

And then that of her partner in the background.

And then EQC call her by her first name.

The upload page is a cloud based audio host. So they are tech savvy, and have edited out any detail that could identify them.

But I can.

If it is them, then they live about 4 streets over in a beachfront subdivision - although I have only ever met them in a professional capacity.

Bugger - sounds like they are having similar difficulties to me - although they have gone as far as to track down one of the dodgy assessors at home and ask him about it - which I think is going a bit far.

I'll be recording it all from now on too - not just taking notes. And videoing anyone else that comes around.
