Few days old now, but Leibovitz go down the hoooole

http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment...-repayment-due

Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz risks losing the copyright to her images - and her entire life's work - if she doesn't pay back a US$24 million loan.

The lender, Art Capital Group, sued Leibovitz in July claiming she breached an agreement that authorised it to act as the agent in the sale of her photography and real estate.

Got another pano to do, massive files = slow to edit. On the flipside, I can print this over 2m wide :)

There's nothing like ringing up an ex whilst drunk as a means of smoothing things over with the wife.

I've recently purchased a new laptop, and am wondering what software, if any, people here are using to calibrate their displays. I've noticed that yellows are extremely... er.... yellow, on my screen now.

I had the same thought when visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia, then 5 mins later our tour guide tells us that some scenes from the first movie were actually shot here.

Girlfriend has an old school SLR, pretty much stopped using it in favour of her compact P&S. But this camera died over the weekend so is now looking at going back SLR but digital as she misses the quality of an SLR. What do you recomend that is a DSLR but still reasonbly light weight and compact? So far has been looking at the Olympus 420.. is the 450 worth the extra price?

edit - oops, was meant to ask this in camera thread

My cheapo $8.50, zero effort mounting operation in my office at work:

Lets me rotate my photos when I want, and have family stuff at work to make the office less boring.

Might actually have to expend more effort and spray the metal strip to match the wall.

Used ezprints from the US, cost me far less than getting them printed locally. There's a colour issue I'm about to try and talk to them about, but considering how cheap it was, I didn't have high expectations. Although they shipped them flat, which was great - 10x15", and the site said 10" and up would be tubed.

Missed the last of the premium sunset light by about ten minutes, despite all my efforts to get there in time (no I love my kids, I really do, sigh).

So the mutt and I hung around until the moon rose and explored the quarry near the beach.

Makes me want to dig out some CR2s and get my slide film out again. Waiting another 6min for NR is annoying.

That's what long exposure on a tripod is for.

Right. Still, the quarry shot's not bad for hand held eh.

I'm referring to nice golden light hitting the rocks and small peninsula I wanted to shoot. I still took shots - but once the sun was under the horizon it was quite flat and boring.

Yeah man, excellent for a H/H shot

(I'd blocked flickr at work as boss kept on yelling at me about wasting bandwidth and company time, so temporarily un-blocked so I could see the shot )
