yeah - I just needed Phants to tell me I had the right idea, and thus I could concentrate on the execution without worrying if I had the completely wrong idea

And it took me 2 goes to defeat Wheatley (I missed the blinking red light as the point to attach teh corrupted cores until about 1:30 to go)

I think the trikiest co-op one so far has been the mid air chest bump. Took the boy ages to cotton on to that.

Blimey! Anyone from here who's adopted and cares to comment...hopefully in a derisive and amusing manner?

Thumbs down Arise!

I like 1 much better than 2. You can see the production value of 2, but 1 is more challenging, some of the iterative jumps in 1 are just awesome to pull off. There is nothing like that in 2. 2 is pretty much holding your hand all the way to the end.

The story again is disappointing. The characters aimed to please but are at most mildly funny, at worst boring. Even Glados got a personality downgrade.

I'm glad I got it in the sale and not at full price. And they want to to pay money for those silly hats?

^ blame console gaming for the dumbing down of the puzzles.

I enjoyed the story though thought the ending was so-so.

I'd have to agree with you there - I enjoyed the second one but not nearly as much as the first. The characters, well theres only really two of them isn't there, and Wheatly almost drove me to stop playing - I don't think I've encountered such an annoying character (and obviously designed to be annoying) in a game.

Who here has finished the co-op DLC? There are some pretty creative chambers there, though one of the last ones (with the cube in the glass cage) is an absolute cunt until you notice the grate on the ceiling.

The map making competition had a few gems too, one of the runners-up was great if you're a fan of the flinging/aerial timing from Portal 1.

8-9 IIRC. It's another "course" like the other co-op courses, but with its own (highly entertaining) plot. It took about 2 hours to run through, another playthrough would be 45min-1hr. Still, can't complain too much if it's free.

If you haven't played 'em before, that's $8.49 well worth spending.

There are two collection packs which were both fairly challenging (though probably also related to haven't played since original release). If just go to the workshop and sort collections by popularity.

I'd guess after a while rating system will sort out the good maps from bad bit of lottery atm. Forums just seem to be people spamming "try my map it's really good/hard"

Finally cranked through the co-op of this on weekend.

That was 100x more enjoyable than the single player - I want me more levels!

I've got this in my library, I must have grabbed on one of those steam sales.
Sounds like it's worth the huge download then. Will do tonight, been looking for a good co-op game.
