Yeah I probably should have - it was actually my partner who commented on it whilst reading (the paper version) of the dominion post before work. I actually often provide them with "feedback" on their stories - they must be getting mighty sick of me (and my partner) actually.

I hope they do an article on dropping literacy standards sometime soon. I'm sure that would contain some pretty awesome self-ownage yuks.

Yep - that has to be some kind of record. I especially like: "[Donald] contributed to a daunting assignment".

So... he played so badly he gave an advantage to the English?

I'm pretty sure they already did. Or something very similar. And yes, there were spelling/grammar mistakes if I remember correctly. I think it's logged in this thread actually...

So now they're actually using 9 year olds to write their articles...

http://www.stuff.co.nz/4779628a28.html

The funny thing is that it actually reads about the same as the rest of the stuff they publish...

I swear the Stuff folk are now either doing this to laugh at our rants (as it tends to get fixed pretty quick once it's been in this thread) or they're using us as proof-readers.

Employ enough monkeys on typewriters and they'll write the works of Shakespeare. Employ a few less and they'll write you a newspaper each day. Employ less still and you've got stuff.co.nz. We're just the extra monkeys!

I try to avoid the place. Seriously, I'd rather visit any of the nearby churches - far more welcoming.

Jesus christ crocos, I'm not asking you to have brunch with them. All I want you to do is lob a few grenades in through the door or a window or something!

To begin with, I managed to read this article here first:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/39487

Okay - rumors and speculation made up by some goon in his basement with stacks of Buffy fan-fiction. No biggie.

I then see this this morning
http://www.stuff.co.nz/4797424a1860.html

Wow Stuff...who was the source? The Sun you say? Did you follow up on that? No?...oh.....

Hey Stuff - did you hear North Korea blew up the moon?...

Oh snap.

If anything in this thread deserves an email to the editor, its that.

Edit: A google search of 'Eddie Murphy Riddler' turned up about 50 links to other news websites dispelling the myth.
