Yes, I do understand that even if everyone were homosexual they could still sleep with someone of the opposite sex for the purpose of reproduction to keep the human race in existence (or in this day and age, artificially). But since we have to sleep with someone of the opposite sex to reproduce, you would assume that is natural.

Phrack assuming that this is natural (and ignoring why exactly anything not natural = bad), then since when has the ability to reproduce been a prerequisite of marriage?

I was only explaining what natural could mean. You've both assumed my stance on gay marriage.
I don't think it should be illegal. But I could understand their ability to be married in a church left to the discretion of that church.

So I've gathered my 200 Philistine foreskins. Who's got a wife for me that'll never leave me since divorce is illegal?
What? You mean society's redefined marriage a few times before? Unpossible!

Objection!

LOL.
Frankly, even if people could choose to be gay or heterosexual as they pleased, so what? Guys like Colin Craig and his cohorts fundamentally misunderstand the issue: if they think that people ought to be treated differently for no reason other than their homosexuality per se, the burden of proof is on THEM to establish why that ought to be the case. It's not enough to merely assert (or for that matter actually establish) that someone can just choose to be heterosexual. |

Every family needs a man and a woman, that's why single parent families are illegal.

Crochet playing is abnormal because the proportion of people who play it is so small. A person who has sex with ten year olds is the same and in this case the abnormality is labelled a crime.
Homosexuality is much more common than the abve and I would wager is well above the threshold of being termed an abnormality if any other characteristic were concerned. As a non-Christian I've seen the evidence on TV and even I am convinced that Jesus absolutely did engage in buggery as he adopted new followers into his flock; so Christians who tend to believe the entire story book of Jesus' actions should be very comfortable with homosexuality and in fact really should engage in such acts as rights of initiation for new families joining their congregations. In fact the inner circle of the church both engage in buggery and do this with young members of their flock so I guess they're doing it by the book. |

Obama also orders the murder of American citizens without trial, so his ideas on morality are obviously different from mine.

Someone on my Facebook posted this link, "A sobering look at the effects on society after a year of same-sex marriage in New York State"
This photo both intrigued and confounded me: I thought heterosexual marriage was invented so that straight couples would procreate. This is clearly a homosexual marriage and... one lady is pregnant? WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?!
