They keep the pace up with Broken, Beat & Scarred, All Nightmare Long and The Judas Kiss, tracks that fly by in a flurry of ridiculously fast riffs and guitar solos reminiscent of their classic 80s trilogy: 1984's Ride the Lightning, 1986's Master of Puppets and 1988's Death Magnetic.
FAIL.

Pizzeria turns things around

A pizzeria has answered its critics by being awarded an A-grade hygiene rating.

Stefanos on Waiheke Island received a D-rating from the Auckland City Council three months ago.

Jubilant head chef Pio Wulf said staff had worked hard to turn things around.

Police have confirmed they are investigating Solicitor-General David Collins.

They would not say what the investigation was about, other than that a senior officer was working on it.

Huh. How about that eh? Actually needing ID to get into a bar when underage? Wasn't ever a problem for me.

US mum drives son to gang fight - son dies
New 3:31PM Wednesday Oct 01, 2008

LONG BEACH, California - A California woman accused of driving her teenage son and his friends to confront a rival gang insists she did not plan for a 13-year-old boy to die in the fight.

Eva Daley is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Jose "Bobby" Cano near a Long Beach skate park in June 2007. One of the teens she drove is being tried with her and is accused of killing the victim.

Daley testified Tuesday she did not know until the next day that Cano was killed and insists she did nothing wrong. She also denied knowing beforehand that Cano had stabbed her son a few months earlier.

Closing arguments begin Wednesday. Daley's son and four other youths pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced as juveniles.
Hmmm... it seems to me that her son did not, in fact, die. Oh sure, the dead kid has to be someone's son, but not the way the Herald writes the headline.

Your rant might have actually done something.

I showed this to a coworker so that he may join me in laughing at your humorous rant. But he said "You're right you know" and I am under the impression he has passed on your opinions to the editors.

I think she was Miss New Zealand... so... yeah...

She's not too bad usually, but her legs are looking pretty chunky there. Time to get jogging.

Love the story.
Quote:
'Relax, mum - I'm not dead'

Zac Efron’s mother was left devastated when she heard a rumour her son had died. The High School Musical 3: Senior Year star was the victim of an inaccurate story published by a foreign newspaper claiming he had been killed.
He said: "I was really shocked to find out - and my mum was really upset too when I called and told her."

The 20-year-old actor also admits he is not a very good dancer, despite leading many of the set-pieces in all three of the hit Disney films.
Three sentences about his "death". And they don't even really say whay happened, and then the go an randomly talk about his dancing????

electrocuted doesn't imply to death does it?

edit: what do ya know, it does.
1. To kill with electricity: a worker who was electrocuted by a high-tension wire.
2. To execute (a condemned prisoner) by means of electricity.

Then what the fuck do I call it when i've been zapped by electricity?
