I'm planning to put in a nether-rail from the bridge-base to the trap, probably as a dedicated feeder-rail, not integrated into the rest of the N-rail network. However the trap is the higher priority at the moment

Something rather bad happened to me in the nether. I was digging aroung looking for glowstone, and my client crashed. This would normally be fine, but when I re-started, I had been killed in lava!

I lost my precious Unbreakable II Fortune II Efficiency II Diamond pick, about 20 iron ore, and like 100 arrows (that was all of my arrows). Could either of you magic a replacement for me?

I guess it kind of serves me right for hanging out in dangerous places, but I feel kinda injusticed by the whole thing : ( I've had a bit of bad luck lately.

Doesn't really work like that I'm afraid. I try and stay away from giving people things unless it's under special circumstances (I can't create magic items anyway). Otherwise it'll open the can of worms for everyone wanting free stuff when something bad happens to them.

No worries. I appreciate solid rules like this; that way we can marvel at the fact that every structure and wonder of engineering we see was made purely through the hard work and skill of the players. Like that trap for instance: Sheesh! It would ruin it a bit if half the stuff was created using free items.

I just asked in case your policy was to replace items that were lost due to technical issues / crashes. But I think it's probably better this way to have a firm blanket rule for everyone.

Also, A Corpse: My Minecraft name is Sliode. If you can add my name to your chest (or if someone can add me to the "Vault" group), I'd be grateful.

Oh, and guys: Where is the nether rail to the NZGames area? That place is a maze and a deathtrap.

No, we definitely need to lay some ground rules. But at the same time I want everyone to have some freedom to build what they want, as it will make the place look interesting.

Yeah a no build radius around te trap is a good idea. Me and Aleina have already kinda worked out the length of the court yard from the trap to the bridge. when I jump on te server tonight I can properly mark it out and post it up.

Also it would be good to have identical achways and supports running along the main part of the bridge. Have the same or similar distance between buildings and maybe stick close to what cowcaddens had in mind a bit like the bridge picture's I reposted up above when building buildings for inspiration.

Also, I'm a little apprehensive of doing large worldedits currently. We're running pretty bleeding edge versions of bukkit and plugins in order to make the time between updates smaller. tbh I wouldn't feel confident in copy and pasting your tower. Might be able to try it on a test server first with a copy of the world or something.

Same arch, bridge base, similar distance between each building and London bridge theme for your home/building. But I'm sure you're all innovate enough to make each slightly unique with your own flair.

Who's the resident trap floor expert? Waldo? If someone can just say what the construction should look like and hammer some pegs into the ground, anyone should be able to add a few floors when they feel like it without worrying they're doing it totally wrong.
