It's sad how we've come to this point of sexual definitions. I can't see how its an improvement over being able to have the sex you want with who you want, without having to have some kind of clearly defined sexual identity.

So, banning anyone that even looks Muslim; so on top of the middle east that's all of Africa, India, central Asia, and south east-Asia. Oh and then there are those pesky Albanians, so will have to ban anyone looking eastern European. So pretty much only blue eyed blondes remaining.. Oh crap

I love stories like this http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10865272.

Now, I earn more than twice as much as the woman in this story and I think this is reasonable given I work more than twice as long as she does each day.

Really it's farcical to use as examples of people who do not earn enough to be happy those who only work part time. If this family wants a lifestyle afforded couples who work full time then they're both going to have to get full time jobs.

Two kids in the picture too. Is their "poverty" here anything other than a lifestyle choice that they now regret?

guy i know would work a 6 hour shift in the morning at a cafe, a 4-8 hour shift at the gym after that, and study inbetween. he lived ages away from work so he bussed instead of driving to save cash. in between this he managed to do his studies for a higher qualification, all the while having to look after his family. dude has never complained about his workload ONCE in the time ive known him.

whats her fucking excuse? and why doesnt he get to have a newspaper article? oh thats right, cos people hate to read about others who get off their ass and do some work and succeed, it makes them feel more like failures

That article is a collection of distortions of the type folk like GT and lead use to hang their projected fantasies of the poors upon.

Everyone is happier when they have someone to look down on, as well as someone to look up to, especially if they resent both.

its a bullshit article anyway because it represents that small minority of people who, despite their best efforts, arent living under a fucking bridge. they should be glad that despite apparently spending their lives making shitty decisions they still have a roof over their head. in a lot of places they wouldn't be afforded such privilege.

how is my GT impression coming along? >.>

I don't think it matters does it? If you want a take away on what I think here then it's that people should not complain about not having a full-time income when they only go to work part-time.

My point was more they should be glad they aren't living in a ditch since they appear incapable of making good life decisions

We should all be glad they're not living in a ditch, if we value communities that aren't rife with despair, disease, terror, anger, etc.

So what do we think of David Carter's performance as speaker so far? So far he's doing a pretty poor job of holding the government to account compared to Lockwood Smith, but I wonder how much of that is just getting used to the job.

In any case, if I was in the opposition I'd be furious. I don't understand why there hasn't been more said about it -- I can't find anything but a little bit of complaining on twitter.
