We all know there is a point in every all blacks career that his performance game to game doesnt matter anymore, he's cracked it and is immune to criticism. This is pretty much Nonu at the moment. So long as he doesnt do this 7 games in a row no one will raise an eyebrow about it.

So before Aaron Smith, who was the last All Black that debuted starting in their favoured position and remained there from then on? I can't think of one.
