Tom Shannon: The painter and the pendulum (TED)

While watching this I didn't understand what the big deal was, it didn't really seem like TED quality. But then the depth of his art work became apparent, not just in it's aesthetic qualities but also it's science based (non-theist) spirituality, and my mind was blown.

It's well worth the 13:22. Now I just have to find out where to get some prints of his work.

Nodar Kumaritashvili, a Georgian luge slider competing at the Vancouver Olympics, died after crashing during a training run and hitting a metal pole. He was 21. According to the Vancouver Sun, Kumaritashvili was traveling at speeds greater than 90 miles per hour at the time of the crash

My disturbed desensitised mind to all the shocks and horrors of the world is very curious about seeing this luge crash video, but it's been removed everywhere I find my normal sources of videos that have been removed (these places have shown those beheading videos and such, which weren't so nice :/)

Anyone have a source ?
