Hey Kryten, are you guys the one's that run Kalluk kennels?
I was shopping for a young Siberian Husky pup about a month ago and contacted you, but you had no really young dogs available at that time, since then I contacted Miaca kennels and we purchased a 6 week old SIberian Husky male, Black and white, with blue eyes, although we think that his coat will probably grey off a bit, the breeders say that he is the best in the litter and that they want to keep in close contact with us, as they would like to breed off him at a later date for the normal stud fee. They have also offered to help me get into showing him, and gave us a year of free membership with the Siberian Husky Club. We named the pup 'Wolf'. Here is a picture of him at 6 weeks, now he's 8 weeks old and already he's learning fast, just last week we taught him to shake hands before every meal. http://slipstream.student.utwente.nl...C81/ps_dog.jpg Hope you have good luck with housing Cooper, Peter |

Good luck with Wolf - whereabouts are you? If you're in Wellington, I'll get you hooked up with the racing crowd if you're interested. |

Kryten:
Ah ok, I visited your website then, I'm pretty sure. I think I may have sent an e-mail asking about puppys that look like Tonka. No, We're in Tauranga and the breeders that we used were based in Matamata, so it wasn't too much of a trip, but we looked everywehere for a pup, at one stage we even enquired about a pup that was down in the south island and we were preparing to fly him up. I'm looking forward to when Wolf is a little older so I can make a small wagon or something similar and let him pull it around, give him the exercise he was bred for. Do you know what age, we should start practicing with pulling? As I don't want to get into it too early and have him damage himself. It must be hard to give away a dogh that you have had for quite awhile, after naming him and caring for him his whole life. I don't think I could do it. |

Tonka has a new toy
In case you're wondering, he sprints into the house, runs onto the treadmill and waits for us to turn it on (woo-wooing the whole time!). |

Does he "woo-woo" when he wants to get off too?

He'd stay on there all day if we'd let him.

Oh, and mpx, I have this overwhelming urge to call your dog "Angus." Must be something to do with the Scottish accent that pops into my head when I look at her. And Cinnamon, your dog has FREAKY eyes. |

We have puppies More pics here: http://www.trinitykennels.co.nz/puppyinfo.html (posting this link as I'll be adding more pics). The puppies are not with us, but we'll be seeing them every week or so for the next 5 or 6, then they come to live with us. There's eight in the photo but one died on Friday night (squashed, we think). |

Aw cool thread~
Cool kittens cam :D Looks like they get along, my puppy and cat have a love/hate relationship, although my kitty seems to be warming up to her as time goes on, more smelling of the noses etc.. Anyway, here's my puppy now.. a little bit bigger (and wider:P). This was on her last grooming, the nice asian man did a wonderful job and gave her the lolest accessory ever. I took it off shortly after, but it was pretty funny :P Also, awesome puppies Kryten, that's quite a bundle of puppies you have on your hands! |

Just received some more action photo's.
Not sure if anyone was there, but we had the dogs (and some Husky's) at Te Papa on Sunday, only the second time they've had animals in the museum. There was about 1000 people there (their count, not mine), and I talked about the dogs, why they have certain features (fluffy tails, dewlaps, etc.) Nerve wracking to start with, but pretty good by the end of it all. If anyone wants to come see the dogs we're doing it again in October (it ties in with their Antarctic exhibition). Last edited by Kryten : 6th July 2004 at 13:53. |
