Running Wilde is pretty good so far. 1/2hour comedy, seems similar in style to arrested development, not surprising given it's from many of the same people.

Also watched The Event, kinda undecided at the moment, looks like it's trying a little too hard to be Lost OMG ITS SO MYSTERIOUS!

A mixture of lost, flash forward, and a some x-files conspiracy.

Keen for The Event.

Finally finished Persons Unknown (spoiler: now they're on a boat! On a motherfucking boat!). I doubt they'll get a second season unfortunately, just didn't seem to pick up any kind of steam anywhere. Maybe SciPhi will pick it up.


Anyone watching new Fringe? Decided to wait till I had a bunch rather than be held slave to the waiting-for-each-release-day, like I have in the past.


Also big news for those like me that didn't finish Battlestar Galatica utterly hating the show and everyone involved: Caprica season 1 second half finally kicks back in this week.

Lost Girl - possibly the new Buffy (with a succubus instead of a slayer), or it might be a complete 'meh'. I enjoyed episode one, but am holding judgment until it gets in deeper.

Its kind bland, but pulpy fun non the less. I have hope it will pick up. The two leads are absolutely scruffable. Bo is hawt, but Kenzi is delectable post-goth, and those eyes (not to forget dat ass)

It's not remotely Whedonesque. The main character is preternaturally empowered and dealing with other supernatural characters in a good vs. evil context, i.e. the new Buffy, but otherwise it bears absolutely no resemblance to anything Whedon has produced.

More like a cookie-cutter superhero/supervillain plot, but with a more contemporary example being Buffy. It uses the mythological creature version of the superhero, rather than the mutant/alien version, but it's a much older style of story-telling than Buffy can take credit for.

A rundown of the shows i'm watching.

I am really enjoying the new Nikita. Was a bit iffy at first but i'm sold now. No ordinary family has potential will give it few more eps to see where it goes.

Boardwalk Empire continues to impress.

Dexter slow start, but looks like things are about to get real interesting

Big Bang. Still awesome

Met your Mom. Getting a bit lame at this point. It still gets the odd chuckle but its been played out for so long it just isnt all that interesting any more

The C Word. Solid and hope to see a 2nd season

Supernatural. Glad its back, hasnt wowed yet but I'm sure it will

Bones. Still one of my fave drama lites

Castle. For a show that only succeeds through Nates charm it still a lot of fun.

C.S.I - Big love for this season so far. Sure its really stretching at times but the cast is all quality. not at all happy that Liz is leaving. We need more of her not less!!!!

Fringe - I bit meh atm. Dont like the alt Olivia story at all. Hopefully it will pick up.

Vamp Diaries - My #1 guilty pleasure. I should hate it but I dont.

House - Really digging the new season. Excellent to see some character progression for House.

The Event. Tried it. Wont be going back. I dont mind cliches but this one is just too jarring for me.

Modern Family - Please get better and soon. season 1 was great, but so far its lacking something.
