Anyone help? VR Titles

Ok anyone help? Is there a VR game out there, that just gives you access to pretty much everything in my garage lol! I'm talking, gears, rods, servos, springs, sheet metal for enclosures etc. Something I can use to basically sandbox ANYTHING i like and have the pieces work together ala physics!

I'm looking for something that I can potentially design something in 3D in my VR and then look to replicate it using 3d printers. Think big... think Solar System perhaps, room size.

Found all sorts of mechanical CAR games etc... but struggling to find something that fits my need.

I have detailed files

I think there was a VR based kit-bashing type app previewed on Adam Savages YT channel about a year ago - I'll dig around...

This is probably the closest you'll get, but it's not out yet.

I haven't used it, but there's this:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1...ration_VR_CAD/

You might be able to import a library of your bits, but I dunno if it has IK or whatever it's called to move everything together.

Yeah, i saw all of those - and they're headed in the right direction. But i'm talking something more SANDBOXY... You know, a wall you can pull 4x2 out of in whatever lengths... a wall where you can grab a 2m length of 20mm diameter solid or hollow tube... can drill holes and thread them and just BUILD for the sake of building.

Nails, welders, saws, hinges, gears, shafts all obeying real world physics.

Something you can really let your mind loose on. Like a grown ups meccano set lol!

OK thanks guys will look further into those and see if theres anything out there... or whats involved in making something lol!

So the scope of the project is immense from what I'm reading... and it may pay me to start on something a little less intense (Say a meccanno set inside VR), which could be fun - and may point me in the direction of what I need to do, sometime in the next 5 years!!!

Any experienced devs or coders have a spare 5 minutes to have a chat on the phone to discuss the possibility, or the impossibilities of this venture?

Cheers

Simon

This physics side is a whole industry. Maybe you just found your next career move?

This is the closest you'll get to an "anything's possible" sandbox in VR.

Wow, now too people without imaginations or internal worlds can experience what it is like to have a fantasy.
