The key point I was trying to get across is that my MP was asking for residents to tell him what they wanted him to represent them on and apart from me the only people who turned up to have their 2c were old, racist, and/or crazy. That there are old racist crazy people in Australia is not a surprise to me. That they were the only people who cared enough to turn up and talk to their local MP disturbed me.

For all the moaning we get from Gen X and Y about "oh, the government keeps sucking up to Baby Boomers and fucking over immigrants and blah blah blah, the government never listens to us" here was a Federal MP asking for community feedback and the only person under 40 who turned up was me. THAT's what I'm pissed about.

I would suggest that only dumb people & old people would even go to listen to an MP
Young intelligent people know that MP's tell fibs....and that listening to them would be a waste of time ....
