When i was there i had quite a few experiances with the law. no beatings thankfully, but their corruptedness was very evident and put me in jail for a night after protecting my father in laws life.
and not being an American nearly led to my deportation.

My arresting officer quit the police force when she heard i had a lawyer and was fighting it, which then of course made it so she didnt have to come to court at all.

still makes me mad just thinking about that night.

For me the most insane moment in that video was when some dipshit crashes into a ditch and he is thrown from the car as it flips. Several cops run up and start beating his limp body.

By complete coincidence, this morning I was watching another clip of a diabetic guy getting beaten after they mistook him for a drunk driver (SOP for drunk driving, mandatory beatings?). “Stop resisting, motherfucker.”

What always annoys me is when these sites make shit up / are wilfully stupid or are actually just too stupid for words:

The trooper, his gun still raised, then gives Greene conflicting commands. He first tells him not to move, then tells him to come forward.

It is pretty obvious the "don't move" is at the guy in the car and the "come over here" is at the other cop.

When the first few paragraphs reveal that level of either stupidity or attempted manipulation by the author I find it hard to read any more.

Not that I was going to do anything to help fix the american police system so I guess it doesn't matter.

Ahhh. I think the change in tone and the body language made it pretty obvious what was going on.

I have no doubt the cops were being dicks (why else would the video be there) but when people make a bigger deal out of something than it is then, for me, that negates the first premise completely and it becomes tabloid sensationalism.
