LIke, all the numbers clearly show it's an outbreak in the gay community being spread by unprotected sex between men. End of story. But nothing you see in the news mentions that.

Is it like "we can't say Polynesian" when talking about the Manly players going on strike about the Pride jersey? Is everyone so whipped by identity politics now that there is a culture-wide block on saying "this is a gay sex problem not a public health problem"?

Getting the PM to stand in front of the country saying "watch out gays" has the chance to create more harm than it would prevent.

There are appropriate organisations well established in the community that are much better positioned to communicate with impacted populations.
