Agreed.

My more cricket orientated flatmate reckoned whoever won the toss would bat first, with both teams acting too staunch to chase.

So what's up with Aussie not retiring for the second day of the warm up match?

Pre-RWC tension maybe?

At this weekends game, my 8 year old son (captain for the day) made the decision to recall a batsman after she was given out (stumped/run-out?) while evading a ball that she'd hit. She wasn't sure where it'd gone (straight up) and was just trying to not get hurt by the hard ball. Legitimately out of her crease and it was a good wicket from the keeper, but I'm proud of him for making the call to run over to her and the opposing coach and tell them she could come back to the crease.

Opposing coach made a point of coming over to our team and parents after the game and making sure everyone knew it was a great piece of sportsmanship and a very nice thing to have done. Excellent learning opportunity for the kids in the team I coach and very much how I want them to play the game.

And that's how to cricket.

Good to see him get some runs. I think it definitely helped having KW at the other end for a lot of it.

I hope this leads to an exciting last 2 days of cricket. Will McCullum be his usual self and declare at some point and go for the win, or will he aim for a draw.

Turned it on. I only saw 1 wicket and 10 overs. But it was the better 10 overs.

Dam that would have been sweet if Guptil got the fastest 50. Especially if it had of been off 13 balls. That would have been huge

The worst thing about sitting on the boundary is when one of the fielders start signing bats, and every kid in the park decides to try and get one right in front of me. None of them fell for the cardboard helmet signed by Chris Cairns though.

Sri Lanka are meh.I so want to see Adam Milne bowling against the Aussies.
He's finally worked out not every ball has to be bowled at 150 clicks. He's working out the pitch conditions and bowling accordingly.

Well that was dramatic. What's with that helmet failure? Is McClenaghan going to be able to bowl? His eye looked fucked.

@NZ_Orlena we're aware of an issue causing customers not to be able to watch online via SKY Go. Our team is working to get this sorted ASAP.

I'm guessing "ASAP" in this case means "when the cricket is over and everyone stops trying to use sky go". Good thing the pirates are reliable.

Yeah, had the same issue the other day too. The problem crops up if you refresh the browser cache somehow. Works fine if you have it up and leave it running.

That was a great last innings for McCullum. Sconed one crowd member with a six, great catch by another on his 200th.
