A skinny chick chucking around a muscular Covet Ops dude twice her size and who came in 99 percentile of her class in the mans section or something. /groan I think in reality is she's way to volatile to be in that role. But anyway it's entertainment and Taylor Sheridan is pretty consistent when it comes to writing good shows. Anything he puts out I generally make a point to watch it. |

Couldn't find this in search.. but I watched about 10 minutes of Painkiller on Netflix and turned it off, the scene where the woman wouldn't sit in the same seat as Sackler was the turning point.
.. turns out the story about the Oxycontin opioid epidemic was already told by Hulu a year or two earlier.. but in a far better manner in every way. So I started watching Dopesick (on Disney+ in NZ) and man its good. Stellar cast; Michael Keaten, Michael Stuhlbarg, Will Poulter, Peter Saarsgaard, John Hoogenakker. Amazing soundtrack w/ Johnny Cash, Radiohead, Rage against the Machine etc. Subject is very dark however, Chernobyl-esque. But fantastic series so far (not binging, watching one a night). |

Yeah I watched and really enjoyed Dopesick and did wonder if Painkiller was along the same lines. Still might give it a try, definitely not as good a cast tho. |

I figure Ahsoka was toying/stalling with the robot and the underling, she would have bodied them if she unleashed. Casual lean to dodge the lightsaber return.

First episode was very slow but it's picking up.
Slightly annoyed that it's a carbon copy of the sequels. A mysterious map, the threat of an old villain returning, the old gang getting back together, and a reluctant master accepting training of an apprentice. I think you're gonna have to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy it, which is a shame, seeing as Andor and Mando (S1 at least) set themselves apart by being great shows first and Star Wars stories second.

Mixed feelings around this one. Seems they have reconned what it takes to be a Jedi? Anyone can learn if they focus with a bit of talent? And don't get me started about the blast visor.
The scene on the wing was cartoonish, which was good in a way. |

There are moments where it's good (like the scenes in the shipyard).. but then the episode 3 battle happens where there's no tension at all, just Ahsoka doing cartwheels in a spacesuit. I find myself getting more excited about the space politics than the cheap battles, but I doubt Ahsoka will go that deep.
