Nowadays when you buy shit online, is there any benefit in using something like paypal so the website you are ordering from doesn't get your credit card details?

Or do most people just chuck their credit number + details into the website they are ordering from nowadays?

I've hardly bought shit online in the past, but plan on doing so in future.

^That's pretty much the reason I use it as well, I've heard various things about paypal being slightly more expensive when you're converting money and also being a pain in the ass if anything should go wrong with the transaction (not that i've ever been affected by said causes - but i'm creating an account for my debit plus visa card).

In other news, just played call of duty one again and remembered how awesome the start of the Russian campaign was...that "Victory or Death!" scene. ROAAAAR!

TVNZ to launch new channel on Sky

Television New Zealand is set to launch a new channel on Sky TV's pay platform that will feature 100% local content.

The channel, which will be called TVNZ Heartland, will feature classic TVNZ shows as well as more recent TVNZ content.

It will be part of the basic Sky subscriber package and will air from June.

Not me. I think its a waste. The standard package could have some interesting programs every now and then, but I watch enough TV at the moment.

The movie channel sucks, the movies are so old by the time they are on, I would have already watched most of them. Otherwise you have to buy them.
The sports channel could be good, but still not worth it.

I've had Sky since the first Gulf War. CNN owned back then. I'd hate to think what I have shelled out over the years, and the current monthly charge is pretty huge. I have full Movies and Sport, but no Rialto/Arts/Asian channels. I have HD MySky and multiroom, but apparantly get the HD def and magazine for free.

I had to add a modulator and reticulate via RF to the kids rooms (and the garage) myself (HD MySky has no VHF/UHF output).

Once they have been introduced to watching the Sarah Jane Smith adventures on demand in their respective caves, there's no going back. That's why I had to get a second sat decoder upstairs to watch the rugger on.

Gutted that Sky is using extra available bandwidth to pander to TVNZs re-run channel when Tech TV is sadly missed. (Actually, isn't Tech Tv dead now?)

Sky is OARSOME. Discovery/NatGeo/History/Doco are ownz, CI is good for Cops and Comedy Central... well... it's okay, but at least they'll have Daily Show/Colbert. Also, Sports channels.

Man admits attacking Air NZ steward

A businessman who flew into a rage on an Air New Zealand flight and attacked a steward has pleaded guilty to assault and disorderly behaviour charges.

Michael Robert King, 46, had to be handcuffed to his seat by three male flight attendants and an off-duty policeman two hours into a Hong Kong to Auckland flight last July.

He struggled violently and repeatedly kicked the seat in front of him, smashing the in-flight entertainment screen and flattening the seat, according to court documents.
