I eventually put back on almost every kilogram I lost during the original I Ate All The Pies saga, but I'm eleven years older too and am now a financial disaster waiting to happen when it comes to rugby. I won't be making a second return to the rugby field.
Getting back into basketball instead this time around and had my first scrub tier competitive game last night. Aerobic fitness held up ok but I'm feeling pretty sore today. Calves are screaming at me. |

Deadlift comp tonight, hoping to put down 230kg. Did the crossfit open this year. 1 & 2 - glaring holes in repertoire. 3/4/5 smashed it!

Hardcore I'm certainly playing with a mouthguard this time around. But if Wed's game is any indication the aggro level in this comp is pretty moderate.

Took up a boot camp a few months back and over the last 8 weeks the trainer has run a weight challenge, lost several kg through it, but what i'm really stoked about was the fitness test
25x 15kg squat press 30m run 15 pushups (still doing them off my knees) 20m run, 15 squats, 120m run 10 pushups, 20m run, 10 squats, 120m run 5 pushups, 20m run, 5 squats, 60m run to finish At the start it took me 5m10s, did it again last night in 3m35s |

So I got a Nielsen survey from the government about exercise. They sent a letter, then a reminder card, so I figured I'd fill it out online.
Alas, the survey doesn't count my >5 minute high intensity daily workouts as exercise (has to be 10 minutes or more per session), so I couldn't finish it. Sure, I won't be fighting in the UFC or completing a triathlon, but as for as effort vs results go the routine is a big win.

Depends what you're looking for.
I kinda like the Reactiv.co.nz range - unflavoured, mix well, hell you can use 'em instead of flour in baking. Reactiv NZ Whey Protein is excellent but slightly above avg price for a standard 80% protein whey. But given how well it mixes and bakes, and it's not flavoured yet takes on flavours easily, it's IMO worth the slightly higher premium. If you want something with basically no carb component, Reactiv also do a Whey Protein Isolate with a much higher protein percentage than most WPIs at 92.4% - and price pretty much at about market average per Kg

lol @ threadbump. 1 year+ without lifting weights. Bodyweight down to 80kg (195cm). Aerobic/anaerobic cycling/running fitness the best it's ever been. Leg muscles weaker but power output higher for any duration from 1 minute upwards.

Been running and lifting weights, and smashing back too much good food. Gotta cut out the choco brownies and eat through a vanilla lens.

Yesterday I ate 100g of smoked chicken with some sauteed celery and cabbage, a small pile of coleslaw (dressed with yoghurt), an orange, and a pear.
Been running about a week so far of that sort of thing everyday and dropped a decent amount of weight already. I thought I'd be slitting my wrists by this stage but I feel surprisingly good! If the hunger pangs get too much I just have a nice big glass of sprite zero or diet bundaberg. |

Sprite zero is my go to when cutting. Pumpkin & sous vide chic salad. Prawns with Shirataki Noodles. Noode protein powder. Not drinking alcohol for a while gets me the best results.

I spent about a year sitting at 92kg
I've been sitting at 89kg for about 5months now Curious to see where I am in another few years as I work out 7 days a week and have done for 2 years as of January Looking at my resting heart rate data, 2022 55bpm 2021 63bpm 2020 69bpm 2019 84bpm Weight 2022 89kg 2021 92kg 2020 94.4kg 2019 131kg mmm. choose life |

131kg!! Christ, good to see you've dropped it.
I stacked it up to 92kg 3 years ago, stress + grad study program + 3 kids resulted in me stuffing my gob with choco brownie and watching Netflix late at night. My weight bouncing between 85-88kg these days. I fast for two days a week and eat like a human dumpster for the other 5 days. Currently running between 25-30km a week, 3 days of weight lifting per week, and practice the bjj exercises with the sprogs as we got some 40mm mats at home to roll with. |

Yeah, i'm not sure how I manage it. I guess I don't have the commitments you have but mmm 7 days a week for me, helps a lot with my anxiety/depression to the point where it's basically non-existent.
here's some news, this morning I was randomly presented with a prize after training because I won Top Male in the 8 week challenge. I didn't actually enter the challenge (I have issues with attention/competition), but they secretly recorded all my challenges/events over the 8 weeks. i feel validated, great news i wasn't expecting |
