You really need to look into Rapidshare.

Hell faster than most torrents, no uploading (so no cap-buggering), either the links are there or they're not (no "Moar seedrz plz!!!"), and the price is well less than $10/mo - not bad at all, especially when offset against the price of either higher cap or extra data.

Given 'most' torrents use at least 70% of my connection if not the whole thing (10mb), there are very few things I have to wait for. With a 5k limit it'd be really unusual if I uploaded more than 2mb per 350mb ep, and I honestly can't remember the last time I couldn't get a torrent I was after due to lack of seeds.

Not to be contrary just for the sake of it, but there really would have to be some kind of massive shift in the torrent dynamic to make paying for access worthwhile to me.

Saw a billboard for Misfits a few days ago http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1548850/ and got roudn to watching episode 1 last night.

Didn't have *particularly* high hopes, for it, but....fuck me, it's really good.

REALLY good!! Don't think I've been this excited about a UK series since Dead Set came out, and we all know how awesome that was (or if you don't....watch it :P)

The good news is that the entire first season is out now (there goes half my weekend), the bad news is that in true UK style, each 'season' only has 6 episodes!

There are similarities, in that some people have 'powers'. But honestly that's about where it ends.

It is fairly decent but not wonderful. The main characters are profoundly dislikable - which is a brave move for the series but makes it hard watching. I do like that the powers they have are all deeply rooted in their psyche and tell you a lot about who they are.

Best episode of the season has to the be the one focused on the runner - they packed a lot of pathos into it without going overly sentimental.

I am intriegued enough to be curious to see where it goes for the second season. (The ending for the season one is... interesting...

)
