i seem to attract trouble at T-intersections. im indicating to turn right, into the T, again, and some guy approaching me turning left into the T indicates late, so i pull in. its pitch black, so i dont notice the black car PARKED IN THE LANE (a no parking area btw) a couple meters into the road, and as i attempt to avoid it, a jackass pulls out of the parking lot ahead of me, almost clipping me. yea, i made some assumptions, like assuming there wouldnt be a car blocking my way n shit, but hells bells... comedy of errors on all sides. after getting my yummy burger fuel, i cross the road to said parking lot, noting that the road is clear. as i pull out of said parking lot, the douchebag has come back, and parked on the other side of the same road, which im about to go down! this time noone is in it. for fucks sake.

Saw that on Campbell Live while the airline may have rules, the rules get grey when they charge a 14 year old as an adult, and dont explain that hes only an adult in fair paying, and doesnt have the ability to escort a child on a flight Qantas need to fix their site

Guys who are so seriously dehydrated (or sick) that the smell of their urine almost burns your eyes out, who stand at the urinal and stare and the flush button (individual non-automatic stalls), finish what they're doing and leave a pool of their stinking eye-burning infested bodily fluids at the bottom of the urinal for somebody else to flush for them (once we've regained out sight).

Still, not as dumb as the mother who assumed a baby could travel just fine with a 14 year old looking after them, imo. She really didn't think to check with anyone? |

Both me and my younger brother never had a problem travelling as UM's together when we were young. Mostly on Cathay Pacific though. They just had someone escort all the UM's together to the plane, then again on the other side.
Based on that I would never of thought it was an issue with a major airline. |

No, not quite as young as the child in the article. I didn't realise quite how young the other child was. (I scanned the article)

So basically qantas are saying "11-14y.o.? You're aying as an adult, but you have no other adult rights" it was for a 40 minute (if that) flight too... it's not like it's to the other side of the world

My understanding was that the 14 year old was allowed to fly, as an 'unaccompanied minor' because he had paid an adult fare. The 3 year old wasn't allowed to fly as an unaccompanied minor, because she had paid a child fare. As I understand it, unaccompanied minors have to pay the higher fare because they have to have a stewardess to look after them. However, calling it an 'Adult' fare, for a child does make things pretty confusing. The mother is probably a bit stupid for letting her 14 year old take sole charge of a 3 year old on a flight - but it's pretty raw of QANTAS to refuse to carry the 3 year old and leave her stranded just because there had been a fare mix up. I mean, if there was going to be a stewardess sitting with the 14 year old anyway, what's the problem with her looking after 2 kids? Anyone who has worked in customer service knows that sometimes you have to bend the rules with a little common sense to get the best outcome. :/ |

To me the real point is that a 14 year old is old enough to babysit and if they are not old enough to accompany a younger sibling then the airline should make that clear. From what I understand the website was confusing and the family didn't realise that the 2 children couldn't travel together unaccompanied. |

Ok, so the weather conditions are shit. Surely this isn't helped by you driving your car up the ass of the car in front of you, and then slowing down to 15km every time you go around a corner?
...No? *sigh* |

Can a 14 year old manage to carry a child to safety through the smoking wreckage, hunt and trap wild animals for food, build a fire with no lighter, know which plants are safe to eat, manage to keep warm and apply first aid, then find their way to civilisation after walking hundreds of kilometers through bush to find their way home? I don't think so.
Quite clearly you need to be 15 and over to perform these feats as stated by Quantas. It's not about the ride it's about what happens when shit hits the fan blades of the jet engine. |

GMG: People who don't change their kids' nappies on planes after they shit themselves, forcing other passengers to inhale the ungodly odour.
GMG: People who change their kids' nappies in the middle of the aisle or on nearby empty seats, instead of taking them to the toilets, forcing other passengers to inhale the ungodly odour and nearly die from it. I know it's probably really cramped in there, but ffs |

I have seen that many times on BNZ's Internet banking site. No maintenance notice. It usually affects the credit card balances. I also find it interesting that they updated their main site about a year ago but forgot to update the inner pages of the banking sites leaving them with in old colors and a horizontal scroll.
