Same feeling.... transferred 80% out of that shit quick just before 40c, now it appears harder to do so. I didn't pick the exact top, but it was a big enough gain to not care. I don't even believe in DOGE, but I held some in the hopes for this exact scenario.

As for stability, reliability, and credibility - are these really the inherent properties of governments? I think they should stay the fuck out of the way, as was intended.

Question

Is there anyone (I'm looking at you wazza, if you even read this sub) that doesn't have crypto that wouldn't mind some?

I'm happy to gift some just so you can play the game if you're curious. The more people who realise there are alternatives to government issued fiat (for better or worse), the more likely it is that this technology becomes widely accepted (and not just a fringe novelty payment mechanism).

I save 20% of my income into Kiwisaver. I read this thread and wonder if what I'm doing is the right thing.

I'm keen ;> email ;>

Until you put 20% of your income into Crypto, only for it to all come crashing down, and 20% ends up only be 2%.

I was going to buy a bunch of DOGE a while ago in case it had a massive rally and just sort of forgot about it. Goddammit.

There's something refreshing about a pure, unadulterated Ponzi shitcoin like DOGE that is simply a vehicle for speculation and doesn't pretend to be a solution to third-world poverty or whatever.

I'll just continue with smacking KS with a dose of 20%; may look at sending 3% towards Crypto for 5 years and see what happens.

I rationalise the above because for neigh on 2 decades, I pissed away $500,000 on alcohol/drugs/rubbish.

Wife made me buy some DOGE earlier today, not a huge spend by any measure but I've heard a new ATH is planned for 4/20 doge day.

My point being crypto isn't and certainly shouldn't be the foundation for any critical infrastructure right now.

The case for crypto's credibility is still a decade in the making.

Just curious - I've been regretting not getting into mining when I first found out about it freaking years ago, now wondering if getting into mining is worth it or better just trading.

It's certainly not buying me a lambo, but it keeps me warm.

Unfortunately I had only dropped $250 in BTC & $550 on ETH that week.

But yep, I am definitely negative.
I still do not see a valid reason why the price of crypto does what it does.

Why is it that someone that owned a few coins 10 years ago, is now a millionaire (well close enough).

Why is it, that my small purchases is now worth 5 times as much.
What is it actually giving us, what is it actually doing.

Im not saying there isn't a use for crpyto. Just the financial side of it is ridiculous.

But I am here for the ride. Like most people. And will hopefully get off at the right station before it crashes back down.

You’re looking at it the wrong way. It’s not that the value of crypto has gone up. It’s that the value of money has gone down.

"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is an expression used to refer to a person who believes in a possibly doomed or dangerous idea because of perceived potential high rewards. The phrase often carries a negative connotation.

Binance Smart Chain seems to be all the rage lately.
Much lower transaction times and fees than similar Ethereum chain smart contract things.
