Theres now a giant arrow in a desert so I can tell where I am when the render updates.

I thought we were all gonna stay around spawn initially wait for 1.9 to generate new chunks etc...make a big central town

nah no ones gone too far yet, in fact if you look under where you have gone theres lots of mineshafts for you to explore.

The server appears to be porked.

Lag, server crashes, duplication or loss of items in chests, weird visibility errors, and so on. Seems borderline unplayable for me.

Yeah, I'm almost ready to suggest a fresh start. I've lost so many items and random buildings :/

Apparently the server.jar was updated when the client was. I've just updated the server now.

Hopefully that alleviates some of the crashiness.

Well, As I suspected, I am actually pretty close, just wasn't recognising the landmarks from a different angle. And I did head in the wrong direction initially.

Oh, and the village I'd gone to visit, quite profitable, 2 full stacks of wheat for me. So I shouldn't have food issues for a while. (Replanted so whomever next visits can enjoy it as well)
