The fact that there are no Zombies in Evil Dead would preclude it from the list. Demons, and the possessed dont count.

Slither is a stretch as far as Zombies go... but close enough to count.

Its about as much of a stretch as calling 28 days or Zombieland "zombies", in the classic sense.

Since both of them are a "virus" that causes zombie like behaviour. (notably ... no "shambling")

You know what movie was awesome? In Burges. That's what movie was awesome. Strong script, great acting and best use of swearing and midgets.

I'm not too sure what the DVD version of In Burges is like, but the BR version has extended scenes, which go some way about explaining the characters' motivations.

Also, that ending is all about giving the main character closure. He didn't care whether he will die or live, because he felt that he paid the price for his sin.

Nah it's great. There's little to no "america-fuck-yea-ness" in it tbh. Really good scenes building up lots of tension. If you still have doubts because of the trailer (some of the stuff in it aren't in the movie) then watch the first scene and decide from there.

I guarantee you won't turn it off after that.

Except I rented it by the time I get to see the first scene.

Harry Brown

It's about an elderly ex-marine (played by Michael Caine) who's just had his wife die in hospital, and his friend at the hand of some (what I can guess you'd call) chavs.

So he takes it on himself to right what was wrong.

And damn, for an old guy he's got a pair on him. I guess once a marine always a marine.

Recommended watch. But I'm partially bias to all things green lidded :P

Those films arent on my Zombie Movie list either... so what point are you making?

Just watched Dead Birds again... everyone should see this film. This along with The Abandoned are two of the creepiest films ever.

Watched ZombieLand last night.

Had a good laugh, enjoyed the splatter, scenery was good, but could have been better. 8/10. Well worth a watch.

I have called it best movie of 2009, cause basically, there isn't shit else released this year that i've actually enjoyed from begining to end. (district 9 was ruined by the baby alien and the emotionally challenged mech at the end)

Watched Apoloosa, and it was pretty average. Too much empty space, probably over 30 minutes longer than it should be and Renee Zellweger's character was too erratic to understand. A much better modern western is 3:10 to Yuma with Russel doing his best bad guy, and an involving sense of tension.

Also watched Full Metal Jacket on BR, but that movie needs little explaining how awesome it is. Sadly, no extras were on disc apart from the trailer.

I don't see what's wrong with this. Shaun of the Dead was awesome. Did you ask what her second favourite was? I bet it was a more 'pure' zombie movie.

Or Day of the Dead.

So underrated but horribly morbid.

OLD day of the dead ... not the new ass fucking version of it.

I found 9 ok .. but lacking in depth ... never "grabbed me", it was just something on, like a sunday movie.

I owe an appology here, I was meant to qualify that I meant the 2008 version. Which I'm pretty sure you don't.

Just finished watching Michael Jackson's This Is It. Quite the spectacle, his talent is almost immeasurable. Childhood memories came flooding back throughout the film. I'm a bit pissed off at myself for not seeing it at the cinema and paying money for the privilege. I will be watching this again, soon. Rest In Peace, Michael Jackson.
