The thing I like about stuff is that they're really good with punctuation you can hardly tell when a sentence is supposed to finish it makes it flow.

Also - "Too similar"? Or "Two similar, big, strong men...".

I find it hilarious how this thread actually has enough fresh material to sustain being on the front page

maybe the stuff editors do this on purpose to keep us entertained?
or... they're just that retarded

Trible: Not a word.
Tribble: A frame on which paper is dried OR a fictional animal from Star Trek.
Treble: A high pitched musical note OR (rarely) three of something.

I'm guessing they were going for "Treble".
The "b" key is too far away from the "p" key for the goal to have be "Triple".

Yes folks - post on a forum discussion board are now news-worthy.

Journalists can now troll the internet from their office chair to find the hard hitting facts we, the public, demand to know!

Next up from Stuff - The Freddo snatcher, and an a story about an 18 year old driver in Takapuna.

Fuck, this is easy shit. And someone can get PAID for this? Goddamn, where do I sign up??

Really, I'm surprised people still go to Stuff for their daily news. I don't like the Herald a great deal either, but I think they do a far better job than Stuff :/

I cbf finding and linking it, but did anyone else feel, when reading on Stuff the article about Manners Mall and the guy rampaging (boring story if you missed it, don't fret), that the person writing it didn't know that Manners "Mall" isn't what most people think of as a mall these days, but rather a non-car street? Certainly got the impression the author had never actually been there.

Yeah, I'd love to see a TV with no electronics inside. Even one from 50 years ago. That'd be... impressive..

Get the surge protectors that guarantee safety and replacement of damaged hardware.
Figure out a way to do the same for phone lines.
Profit.

Ain't never seen a surge protector that can sort out 10,000,000,000 joules.

Ok, granted, the guy was a few houses down from the lightning strike. Lets halve that.

And while we're halving it, lets compare and contrast with a typical 7,000 joule gaseous arrestor. Mmmm.

Surge Protectors are not lightning rods. Lightning rods are lightning rods. You want lightning protection? Get a lightning rod, and THEN lots of gaseous arrestors.. you're still gonna need 'em, chaps!

ok it's not from stuff but...

Ladies and Gentlemen, from the "surely the author's taking the piss" department, I give you NZ Rugby World magazine.

From an article about Stephen Donald in the latest issue:

Quote:
Entrusted with 30 minutes at the helm, with the world’s finest first five-eighths, possibly in the game’s world-wide history, Daniel Carter, moving out one position, Donald rose to the demands of the night superbly. He, more than most, would acknowledge that it is but one step along the road. However, he could take confidence from having contributed to a daunting assignment. Like an American vice president, he is only ever a heartbeat, or hamstring, medial ligament or rotator cuff, from having to step into the hot seat and with the departure of Nick Evans at the end of last year, he has done enough to ensure he is first cab off the rank as Carter’s understudy.

This story (http://www.stuff.co.nz/4777917a11.html) originally had the title "Kiwi Hostages Heading Home from Mumbai Massacre" - I emailed them saying that I didn't think that any kiwis had actually been taken hostage - headline changed on the story about 15 minutes later...
