Had a gander at the Netflix Savile doco. Surprised they didn't mention more (just implied) about the stuff he got up to as a porter. Did show him wearing the gaudy glass eye necklaces though. Might have been more sensitive to the young abuse victims - the zoom in in the TV crowd where the girl next to him was clearly being touched up and he just carried on straight to camera <shiver>.

I haven't been able to look at Aubrey Plaza the same since I watched Legion. So, so creepy.

But Natascha McElhone is amazing and spooky. And the story is compelling, I haven't followed the games, so I don't know much except the general basics.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, Burn does a good job of being Burn Digging the Halsey character, Natascha McElhone is killing it. The Variety article helped a lot thanks, really is Sci Fi Action Series with some familiar character names. |

Anyone else digging Moon Knight? I didn't expect much from it - wasn't a reader of the comic, and Disney TV shows are sucking more and more by the month - but I quite like the way it's going.

But I learnt to stop thinking that I wasn't interested in a show. Coz I have really enjoyed most of them. F&tWS was to me the one that was a bit blah. |

Disney TV, generally speaking, I can see what you mean. Mando, Loki, Wanda, all incredibly strong, then Boba, F&WS, even Hawkeye, it's a little bit of a downturn. My expectations are sky high for Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, so I'm worried there.

I was at a loose end, and flicked on Netflix and saw Apollo 10 1/2.
Clearly a kids cartoon, but so much was explaining how an economy could continue whilst pumping billions into a space race and a war at the same time. Dad the frugal supply manager probably helped. Not sure how much Jack Black managed to pull on his own childhood (was *almost* semi-auto biographical with where his mum worked and having a larger than now average sized family). The bullshit around sending a kid to the moon first because they buggered up a calculation is easily glossed over and its more like an expose of life in the sixties and by virtue of NZ being so far behind the US, probably close to the 70's in NZ. Good rotoscoping, high res animation, and they even dropped to low res when playing news reels. So silly story premise, but told quite well. |

The North Water was really, really good.
I went in blind, but here's the trailer... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31uQRnFAnA Colin Farrell again just disappears on screen. I reckon the more prosthetic makeup he puts on the better he performs. |

It's fascinating how much the MCU is educating its audience on psychoanalytic theory. Moon Knight, Wanda Vision especially, but it's woven throughout so much of the MCU story.
Which isn't surprising, near everyone successful in Hollywood the last 50 years or so has had a shrink.

Finally got around to watching The Sopranos. After several attempts to get into it many moons ago, it finally caught my interest and I've binged all the way through to it's very anti-climactic ending.
Moved on to Barry which is another one I've started several times and never finished - up to season 2 now and quite enjoying it; Bill Hader does great dark humour |

I'm finally getting around to watching Always Sunny. I didn't like it when it first came out back in the mid 2000's, but I think my humor has changed in that time, and I'm loving it now.

So Halo pulled a move from Book of Boba series...having an episode with nothing to do with the main character.
Apparently Korean is the language of choice for space fairing Asian's as well.. |
