The problem with Dollhouse is that it's like Joss didn't get to write any material for Season 2 and the network basically killed off any of the interesting subplots from Season 1..

True...Dark Matter is definitely a bit "darker" than the first season. Liking both 2nd seasons so far.

Fuuuuck that was awesome. On the contrary, I thought S2 tied together all the interesting stuff from S1. However the second half of S2 did feel really rushed. Like, the production team knew the show had been canned and had to cram into the second half of S2 all the things that would otherwise have been stretched out over multiple later seasons.

By the way, fuck yeah Amy Acker.

Yep, that is exactly what happened. Whedon and other writers mentioned it, and while not overly happy, they did what they could to wrap loose ends. The last ep though?

That's the problem with that type of funding model for shows like that. Episodic comedies and dramas suit seasonal funding, but complete stories need funding commitments up front so the writers and directors can pace appropriately.

That's what I like about a lot of anime, you get a full story arc.

I watched a few episodes. I think both of those guys are brilliant...but Con Man...fuck me what a trainwreck. I didn't find it entertaining/funny at all.

I saw the pilot as well, not encouraged to bother watching any more. It has an intriguing angle to it, but all the shitty cliches and tropes put me off.

New series. Kristen Bell as a freshly dead person arriving in a heaven designed by newbie architect Michael (Ted Danson).

I like it. Had a really cool feel to it.
