It also wasn't Barnes' call. The touchies said no. Barnes could have gone to the TMO, but would have felt that the touchies saw it.

Mexted had a good point that (from that angle) the trajectory looked like it didn't at any point cross the right post before curling. But meh, Wales fucked up many opportunities to take the game.

I love the photo that everyone uses is the photo that makes it look like it is between the posts, however the controversial point was when it was above the posts.

Assuming Ted picks his #1 side to play Japan then I would expect to see Mills and Conrad back. I think Kahui has done enough to be retained on the wing and Jane to be on the other wing. Also obviously Mealamu back too.

But if Wales questioned it, what's the harm in checking?

Not so sure the #1 Side will get a run, but possibly another variation.
Cowan, DC, Dagg, Nonu, Smith, Jane, Mils. Weepu, Slade, Kahui on the bench.

Also, this

His hit on the Argentinian center (which injured him) was a well timed late hit. Then slid in knees first at the prop, very happy to see him get a suspension.

I remember saying to my wife that he seemed to be overly enthusiastic with using his body to hit and hurt, not just hit hard.

Even 2 cameras that are synced together. One on the try line facing the posts, one directly behind. You can then tell the exact time it passed over the line, and where abouts it was in/out of the goal posts.

In saying that, that could be a cool way to see some replays, a couple of camera angles played side by side.

Camera on the side of the field and one at the end, you could sync them and then predict the ball movement with some software that probably runs on your mums cell phone. End of the day the touchie is there, they might screw up 1 in a 1000 games, on field accounts screw ups are a lot more common so start fixing it there first.

No Dan Carter. Slade starting, Cowan on the bench with Weepu providing cover for Slade.

Just break into the cricket sheds and steal a hawkeye setup.

I'm loving the samoa/namibia ref's vocabulary, it's making him refreshingly impatient with injury delays. "you guys setup scrum, replace that guy now, lets go play on"

Just saw the headline. What the hell were they doing at training.

Edit. Actually, they probably aren't and its the coaches way on implementing the rotation policy without a public backlash

Well as much as it sucks for Mils to not play his last Hamilton test match, I'm really looking forward to seeing my favourite player running at fullback! Go Ice!!

No way Mils would miss his last all black test in hamilton if he had a choice. He's in serious jeopardy of not cracking 100 now.

Feel sorry for Slade - he's definitely not the backup we need. Piri is a better number 10 at this point.

Did you guys see that behind-the-back offload by one of that Japanese prop? (I think he was a prop), that would've been an awesome try if that wasn't ruled forward.

GG Japan, frankly no one expected you to win, but you did put up a fight to the end. And according to RWC website, with this game, a try has been scored by every position from 1-15 so far.

The best tries in rugby are scored by hookers waiting out on the wing. There's something quite funny watching a stumpy nugget of a man waiting out there.

p.s Guildford can GTFO. He won't be back in the team for the rest of the RWC
