while the oil price affects petrol prices, (and im sure that the oil companies are rubbing their hands at the prices), its not the only thing that affects the price we pay at the pumps

If a 10% increase in barrel cost equates to an INSTANT 10%+ increase at the pump a 10%+ decrease should be more than 4 or 5c....

its the only factor which affects petrol prices? no, but its a major one...
its bullshit? yep, im very sure the petrol companies are rubbing their hands at their hugely increased profits

a major part of oil prices going up however, is people making money off oil futures, which is a self fulfilling event... people buy oil futures counting that oil will go up... the more that do, the more oil goes up... so oil goes up artificially (not just the supply and demand)

these people making money off oil futures, and people making $Millions a year running oil companies, dont care about the little guy struggling each week to put petrol in his car each week to pay to go to work, so he can pay to put petrol in his car...

Ah but when oil prices rise, so do transport costs for oil, which makes oil products more expensive. When oil prices drop, petrol prices don't drop 'cos it costs petrol to transport said petrol products.

Anyway, it still won't translate to a drop to less than $2 a litre. There's still the costs of refining, transporting, jew tax, arab tax, govt tax and then the mark-up for profit at every stage.
