This morning I was thinking about the moneyswap DrTitus and I did to help his friend out the other day, and remembering what it was like to move money between AU and NZ banks only a few years ago. The time and expense of having to talk to a bank manager and order a telegraphic transfer and getting reamed in fees and it taking days if not weeks.

And now it's just "here's my address" "sent" "yeah got it" directly from person to person, with no bank middleman, for free. I just had a moment of realising how amazing that is.

A smart criminal would use USD cash and an account with HSBC and never touch an immutable ledger record of their criminal activity

Based on that, 5% they invested -$15m would now be worth $60m

If they'd taken the money to the casino and put it all on black, they could've made even more!

Well technically no. They would have had $30m.

VISA settling in USDC on Ethereum. No multi chain strategy, just Ethereum. Probably bullish.

That'd explain why ETH is up about 10% overnight. Not that I'm complaining.

Basically Visa is trying to set themselves up as middlemen in a system that was designed to supersede them.

Comparison with Netflix doesn't make much sense.

What? This is exactly the OPPOSITE of what Netflix did. Netflix went from being a middleman to being a content creator.

If I understand this correctly, PayPal will:

*Sell you crypto from their own private stash.
*Allow you to convert the crypto back into fiat to make a purchase.
*Pay the vendor in fiat.
*Clip the ticket and tack on conversion fees at every opportunity.

PayPal won't:

*Give you your private keys.
*Let you transfer crypto into or out of your PayPal wallet. You can only buy from them or sell to them at their rates.

Crypto marketcap ticked over $2T!

Another use for NFTs: Ticket sales (set resale royalty to 75% or so to discourage scalpers)

I must confess I don't get it either. It's not like an inability to perform digital transactions is a glaring shortcoming of Signal. And why a premined shitcoin that's only available through one exchange?

It's a way to support the developers maybe? A very unoriginal way.

Who the fuck knows these days. Ajax has me cynical about Tether print runs, Binance is about to burn a percentage of BNB, Coinbase is listing, Ethereum has the Berlin update, Ripple is still in court. If I were day trading Id be losing my mind.
