There are some indications of a forthcoming Russian amphibious landing attempt at Odessa (ships moving into position, large number of missile launches). Very high risk for the Russians and would be a catastrophe for them it it fails.

Latest episode of the BBC: The Inquiry podcast is interesting - I'd never heard of The Wagner Group - but they sound like a bunch of guns for hire like the crowd Van Damme ran in the Expendibles. But, you know, IRL. Poor middle aged Russians who joined up to pay their mortgages, and end up as cannon fodder in Syria (Us troops wondered why the inbound raid were chattering in Russian on the open comms) - and now thought to be roaming Kyiv looking to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

I don't think China is as retarded logistically as Russia has been.
Doesn't mean it would be easy to take Taiwan. Just I don't think betting on the same clumsiness as Russia has demonstrated being a barrier is a good bet.

Interesting take by Risky Business this week. Elon's StarLink may be a legitimate target if he keeps supplying the method for drone strikes to be so effective.
