A few reviews I've read have suggested that the vive is more capable, but is uncomfortable to wear.

I wonder if reviews will change once Oculus gets the hand controllers out, which I do find strange how they are still not out yet, given a recent facebook VR demo I saw with them in use. Hopefully they won't be too far off. |

I think the question everyone wants answered is, which is the best VR solution for porn?

If you're a current or about to be a Rift owner you might want to make yourself aware (if not already) of this piece of software.
http://www.vorpx.com/ Adds VR support for many games that don't have it. Review here. http://riftinfo.com/detailed-vorpx-r...th-to-download I'll be getting it once my Rift turns up. |

Two friends in NZ got their Rift today...

Really? thats good to hear. Do you know when they initially pre-ordered?
See people are up in arms (as they should be) because Oculus's are turning up on computer bundles from Amazon and about to be sold on Best Buy today before pre-order's are being fulfilled. I still gotter wait till end of June /July before mine comes. A mate at work has now ordered a Vive as well and if that turns up first will cancel his Occ pre-order. Have to admit their doing a pretty piss poor fucken job of deploying these things considering how long its been in development and how much time they've had to prepare. |

yeah, they ordered within the first few mins of the launch but didn't have the credit card issues that a lot of people did, myself included.
My estimated date is still late May/ early June but not that fussed about the wait, the free (expensive) shipping took some of the sting out of it. Another mate got a Vive yesterday too, keen to compare them back to back. |

Cancelled my pre-order, ordered a Vive instead. My estimated shipping date was late August, even though I ordered on T+12hrs, sod that

Vive arrived 2 weeks ago, but first decent chance to use it this weekend. Impressed so far, totally immersive experience (accurate and fluid tracking is some witchcraft) Motion tracked controllers transform it from just being a different way to see a game into something wholly new.
Needs some long form content - nearly all so far has amazed but seemed like very polished 30mins - 2hour demos. Could probably lose weeks to Tilt Brush. For my 2 cents this needs a) someone to create a long form game with narrative/storyas well as using the tech and b) finds a solution to walking in-game that doesn't require teleporting. |

You wont get rid of tele-porting until you can either have 3d treadmills, or play in a huge warehouse.
Also, stairs are a problem. Tada, you're all training to be daleks. |

If so what was your initial date of delivery, and what was the new date? Mine should have been shipping about now before the shortage, now its end of June.. early July. |

yeah, I ordered about 20 mins after the big launch as the website was having issues accepting my credit card (it seemed to be a common issue).
The initial shipping date advised was April, then component shortage which resulted in free shipping but new date of late March to early June. My order number was a 322xxx.... |

And has it delivered everything above and beyond or is there the buyers regret?
|

No definitly not buyers regret.
It's not 100% what I was thinking after seeing so many people freaking out on youtube etc. No motion sickness playing intense titles like Eve: Valkyrie, but I could feel it messing with my head a bit. Have had a bit of eye strain tho. What I'm pissed off about is that there are games available that I already own, but I have to pay again to get the VR edition. |

Got my pop-corn and am watching the same people who argued for a "consumer revolt" and targeted product boycotts now trying to argue that a purchase doesn't equal an endorsement (and the whine of "separate the artist from the art"). Hilarious.
