No worries with music at my screening, maybe it's a cinema-specific thing.

I'd rate it as one of the better second-tier MCU flicks. It's not Avengers or Winter Soldier, and it's not revolutionary like Black Panther, but it's definitely a goodie. I've never seen Brie Larson in anything before and she just lit up the screen for me, I thought she was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised at the chemistry she has with Samuel L Jackson. It was a bit weird to see Fury essentially in a buddy movie.

Her powers at the end do raise concerns for me though - like I posted earlier, even with only those abilities on display in the movie (not her comics powers) the character of Captain Marvel is easily the most powerful character in the MCU.

Rogue from X-Men, who gets her super strength/flying etc from Ms Marvel in the comics.

I don’t think the FF/X-Men/Avengers movie properties will ever cross over.

Unless they do Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe and reboot everything, which would be EPIC.

When it comes to the Marvel MCU & associated properties, I've had a big list of "I never thought they'd do X" that's done pretty well so far.

They made me care about Thor, Black Widow, Hell even Captain America - who, lets face it, were B list superheroes when compared to your friendly neighborhood Spiderman.
They made me care about Guardians of the Galaxy, which were so obscure I'd barely heard of them before the movie announcement.
I never thought they'd be so successful with so many movies that they'd get to the point of being able to do an Infinity Gauntlet arc.
I never thought they'd go ahead with the Snap arc.

They now need to redeem some less favorable characters from past movies.
They've done it with Deadpool, recently with Spiderman, now they need to do it with Dark Phoenix, and maybe, just maybe, someday, we'll get a good FF movie.

Reboot via Deadpool may seem far fetched, but so was most of the above.

Bucky (or Falcon) could take up the Capt Am mantle.

Someone (no one that is currently in the MCU) could become the next Thor or Iron Man (or maybe that kid that he met in IM3 turns up).

Yeah, I don't see Bucky being rid of the "Winter Soldier" gimmick with the cyborg arm, and Falcon has his own thing going too... plus they're already established characters.

MCU Bucky would kinda work considering that he's also a super-soldier serum (well, an attempt) recipient and is superfast/strong/resilient. Hell, Sam's just a dude with some tech.

Bucky would work for people that get the whole Marvel comics retcon/replacement thing. Joe Q. Public probably won't understand how "Yes he's still Bucky but now he's Cap also" works.

There is your introduction of Bucky becoming Capt Am for Phase 4 of MCU.

I don't see Bucky as being an "established" character like the ones with movies (or Hawkeye/BW/SW etc.
Yes there's back story etc, but I think he would be at the right level to move over if that is the way they wanted to go.

^^ A mate had his 21st at the Christchurch Central Police station bar.

Someone had the awesome idea (back in the 1989 era of Keaton batman) to go as Batman, old school Robin and Joker (I think my lady friend at the time may have been Catwoman, but she is of no consequence after she got them out - another story).

And I kind of dressed to a Juaquien level of fashion - orange shirt, aqua cravat, magenta jacket and purple pants with a navy flowing trenchcoat. Had to force a permagrin, which kind of stuck as we walked from Bailies in the Square down to the copshop. Oh, and lots of whiteface.

Bleached hair didn't let green food colouring stick too well - and it wasn't really a good look for a government employee, but we had fun.

Goodtimes. I wonder if there are any pictures...
