Someone care to explain this? Westpac have sent us a letter about "quasi-cash" credit card transactions and they give examples of that being payments to TAB or even My Lotto. I guess the reason for this will be you could potentially withdraw funds from your CC through the TAB, gain the points then send the transaction back to your normal account - essentially a cash transfer with no charge.

"... interest will be begin to accrue at the cash advance rate as soon as the transaction has been made until it is paid off in full ... your balance can grow if the monthly balance isn't paid in full."

So which is it - does the balance grow immediately (due to interest) or does the balance grow only if I don't pay the monthly balance in full? It can only be one. We pay our CC balance monthly automatically.

What was the whole line, are they referencing different things.
One is how you get charged interest immediately until you have paid that off.

The 2nd is the general comment of how if you do not pay your bill off completely each month, then it can grow.
Its a comment that they need to show often - potentially on every statement. Because that is how Credit Card debt works.
