how much of the population is left?
15 years of starvation and anarchy, would have probably killed off 90% of the pop

and those that are left, how many of them have the technical ability to make steam engines etc

come on guys...suspension of disbelief

I just ignored the holes. The chick is hot enough and story is entertaining enough thus far to keep me watching.

I do feel there will be many "no answers for you!" moments however - starting with the Grace scene(s).

Yeah, I have the same feeling - no answers!

And there are plenty of options for starting diesel engines without a starter motor! Of course, if its an automatic, you'd have issues, but a manual (even without glowplugs) can still be crash started.
And, once running, you'd never turn it off.

there would be no diesel for gene's, i dont think they have said anything about them not working but 15 years would have destroyed all fuel reserves with no way to refine anymore oil, the first war would have been over what fuel reserves were left and when they ran out everything would have fractured further

New Red Dwarf came out last night in the UK. It was actually pretty good, more on par with the original episodes rather than the series 7 and 8 or that tragic mini series 9.

Some good gags overall all B+

will watch the rest of the series.

The thing is, IMO, 4 is where it should have ended. They'd resolved everything from the last 4 seasons, *except* for the Watcher episode (being vague for waricks sake).

I loved fringe from its "post 9/11 X-Files" beginning, but I've got very little motivation for what they've already said will be a short-season wrap up which frankly feels very tacked on, and by all accounts it will be the story continuing from *that* Watcher episode, and so have no bearing on the previous 4 seasons.

It feels very Alias season 5 to me. (Though they at least had the decency to save the series ending episode to the end, whereas fringe has essentially already run theirs at the end of 4).

i am more interested in the history of the militia, everything miles and monroe did to get there and what happened in 'the wars' that fisherman referred to

one thing that has me puzzled, if the militias have stock piled weapons etc they must have raided all the big military bases for equipment and if the monroe militia is the baddest in the area they must have all the toys..why dont they wear simple body armor, even the most basic kevlar would have no problem stopping musket balls

most of the good stuff would be locked away in armouries that probably have electronic locks but after 15 years and all the explosives around they should be pretty geared

I watched the first episode of Last Resort last night. It seemed quite decent and has my interest. Same guy that created The Shield.

Not sure how long they can string that premise along but the first ep was good.

Hmmmmmm!! Been reading my way through all of New 52, Grren Arrow's never really struck me as much more than Batman-with-a-bow. That said, live action Batman tv show in the vein of Animated Batman could be pretty awesome.
