I associate the imagery with:
- WW2 bomber footage.
- lots of fuel being consumed
- leaving the country... in droves

So I read through the limericks thread in the VUALT again and read the one about Flick and thought "Oh yeah, she used to post here and was supposedly hot IIRC - wonder what the deal is there." so I went looking for evidence but the NZG pic posts were empty. A wee bit of cyber-stalking later and voila, pics.

People put way too much information on the 'net IMO...

On topic, bought some cheap sunnies off trademe for 23 bucks but can't help and wonder how much better the glass is on the originals... Does anyone know what you're paying for in designer sunglasses other then the brand name??

If QI is to be believed, Roman Emperors ordered gladiators' deaths by putting their thumbs up. The saving symbol involved placing the thumb inside the hand.

It varies. Designer kit is pretty much always over-priced, but sometimes it's actually no better than the $30 sunnies from the servo.
