Yeah had to laugh. Pretty good duck though. I thought he handled it pretty well.
Good riddance come January.

Bit of commentary on this one:

That was a very impressive duck - the Stuff photo didn't do it justice.

On The Edge this morning they summed up his bemused look nicely, something along the lines of smiling knowing the man would spend the rest of his days at Guantanamo Bay.

It's kinda sad if you put much thought into it. Where the world would be today if Gore had won the 2000 election. Or hell, even Mccain. 8 years of influencing the world towards selfishness and greed. Good riddance.

Bush only ever did what the (US) people asked him to do. Do you reckon it would have been much different with another President? I'm more worried about the people than the President. The people listen to the media, not the President, and the media does not have an 8 year maximum term. Sure the support for the war is low now, but it was high five years ago and I don't see the Americans being any more resistant now to the problem-reaction-solution tactics that got them there than they were in 2003.

Many large US corporations depend on people working in and being supportive of the military to survive. They will get their way regardless of who is elected President. The only variable is the nature, scale and location of the next war. Great world we live in huh?

That is actually an epic duck. I would award it 10/10. He's even got a cheeky smile on his face as he does it!

His response to it was good, noting that it was a form of expression and protest and that this is not just normal, but a good thing in a free society. Excellent duck. Still an ass-hat.

I guess people need to make up whatever BS they need to about the twice elected President of the US to make themselves feel better. But seriously he wasn't some magical man who single handedly ran the world into a ditch the past 8 years. And it makes me laugh when I read here (and elsewhere) about all the things he was doing and supposed to be going to do, (remember he was going to use the troops to enforce a third term for himself), all the while there are plenty of real shit heads out there who aren't currently cool to hate (Mugabe, Chavez, Putin).

ok first: youll notice i started a thread discussing the fuckface that is mugabe.

chavez and putin on the other hand... well, chavez at least isnt as bad as fox news makes him out to be. putin has his agenda for sure, but he has every right to lead his country (yes, hes still in charge) the way he wants. so long as russia doesnt fuck with other countries (dont bring up south ossetia, because they DIDNT invade), they can do what they please.

as for bush.. sure he passed a few decent bills. if he didnt, he would have been out of there by now. but a few decent bills does not a great leader make. and that most certainly applies here. i cant believe youre actually defending him.

especially in the face of stunts such as this

Who's defending? Sure he was shitty President, but when people call him Bushitler, or the antichrist, and blame him for everything that's just BS.

Seriously I lost count of how many times I read this year that there would not be elections because Bush wouldn't allow them. Or that he was responsible for the DMCA.

There is a huge difference between "Wow that's ludicrously over the top" and "Hey he was alright"

Those people are generally known as 'crazies'... And they aren't isolated on the left. Look around at some of the right blogs it's just as batshit.

Obama is likely to rape your daughters after socialising the entire economy, meeting with terrorist leaders for sexy blowjob time and finally dissolving all current marriages so that everyone can be forcibly gay married.

That was also a pretty good aim, if Bush didn't dodge it, that shoe would've hit him square in the face.

Still, great duck. With reflexes like that, he'll be a good hunting partner for Dick Cheney.

And? Basically "like Bill Clinton did 8 years ago, and his father did 8 years before that Bush is doing some shit, this shit never bothered any else enough in the past 16+ years people have been doing it to actually bother to stop it, but Dubya is doing it now, so it's evil, EEEEEVVVVILLLLL"

So damn evil in fact that it's going to be the first thing that obama government removes from the law.

Oh wait I just made that last bit up.

Anyone watch Huckabee and John Stewart on the daily show? I just don't understand out of all the republican candidates we somehow ended up with Bush. While I disagree with Huckabee, his arguments are above and beyond your average right winger.

In fact here is a prediction. Dubya has about 300 pardons to go to equal Clintons list, no matter how few or how many he does between now and the time he leaves I predict there will be plenty of articles and rants about the evil abuse of the constitution.

Bushisms over the years

Just two of the quotes, many more in the article.

Quote:
• "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." — Aug. 5, 2004, at the signing ceremony for a defense spending bill.

• "Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." — Sept. 6, 2004, at a rally in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

'GREAT MOMENTS IN PRESIDENTIAL SPEECHES' via Letterman is gonna be missed. Seriously, how the hell the american people at those (town hall) meetings sat behind him with a straight face while he garbled half that stuff is amazing.
You don't see ANY of them looking around as if to say wtf? Tis bizarre.
