Trump Says He Will Force Apple to Manufacture in the US Even Though That Makes Absolutely No Sense

Quote:
It’s also an empty applause line. The US president does not have the power to ban a company from outsourcing, nor does the president have the power to completely overhaul the global economy.
...
Apple outsources because it maximizes profit, but that is not the only reason. Asia’s electronics supply chains are much larger than what the US has to offer. Not only would Trump have to come up with a way to penalize Apple for outsourcing so harshly that it’d make sense to change its manufacturing model—he’d also have to help US manufacturing catch up to China so that Apple could feasibly begin production here.
That's the sort of shit Clare Curran or Russel Norman would come up with.

Presidential candidate John McAfee offers this salient piece on privacy and encryption. Also, apparently, he bangs his wife.

Sanders 60%, Clinton 40%

But Trumps was more significant because of the amount of candidates.
35% and 2nd place 15%

I wonder how many of the republicans will drop out now.

Sanders's win doesn't mean that much on the D side, Clinton still has a massive lead in the delegate count.

But on the R side I think the most significant thing was that Christie buttfucked Rubio on national television. That may be Rubio done for.

Also, I love the fact that the're both anti-establishment in both directions.

Trump is quite happy to brag about how much money plays a role in politics, and doesn't give a fuck, so he comes across as much more human than the robotic competition that does whatever their funders want them to do.

Sanders is playing the Populares role, and is essentially crowd funding his campaign. He's doing better against Hillary, than Obama did against Hillary at this stage of the campaign, especially in the 17-29 bracket.

I fall on the left, so my view is if Sanders wins then it's not that bad.

If Trump wins... Fuck even contemplating that. If he one then I hope that Democrats win the House & Senate.

I still would like to see the Republicans with only 2-3 candidates. It would be better to see how well Trump would do.
There seems to be a view that the Trump supporters will vote Trump, and the non Trump supporters will vote for anyone but Trump.
So if he only got 30% of the vote, with 10+, he may still only get 30% of the vote with 2 others.

Sanders is too far left.

I don't know why you mention the interwebs going nuts over Sanders as if that's a good reason to wanted him nominated. But yeah, too left.

Trump winning might wake people up and think "Shit, we need to get money out of politics"

Choice little nugget from CNN's big piece on New Hampshire. Trump approaches Christie during debate commercial break ...

Quote:
Though on the sidelines, Trump underscored the power of the moment during the commercial break as Christie walked across the stage to see his wife. Someone grabbed Christie's arm from behind, and the New Jersey governor turned to see none other than the taunter-in-chief Donald Trump.
"Oh my God. That was brutal," Trump muttered to Christie on the debate stage, according to someone familiar with the exchange. "Tremendous."
Even among enemies, there's a respect for mastery.

Im not sure I would agree that if Trump wins it would do that.
I think if Sanders wins (and the stars align) he would be able to create the change needed to get the money out of it.

DNC rolls back Obama ban on contributions from federal lobbyists

The Democratic National Committee has rolled back restrictions introduced by presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2008 that banned donations from federal lobbyists and political action committees.

The decision was viewed with disappointment Friday morning by good government activists who saw it as a step backward in the effort to limit special interest influence in Washington. Some suggested it could provide an advantage to Hillary Clinton’s fundraising efforts.

2016 Clinton - "...Change it back."

Im still hoping that the 30% that will vote for him no matter what, and the other 70% will not vote for him no matter what.

It's to be seen if Trump can survive breaking the GOP taboo of criticising the Bush administration's adventures in Iraq.
